Abstract
206,992. Le Sueur, F. H. Oct. 12, 1922. Bottles, non-refillable. -A device for preventing the refilling of bottles comprises a tube a having an enlargement b to receive a ball valve c, a tongue or plate g forced into, or otherwise secured in, the upper end of the tube to constitute a diametral partition and carrying a disc h spaced from the end of the tube to prevent access to the ball valve, and spring fingers k, or like means, adapted to spring outwards into a peripheral groove m in the bottle neck to lock the tube in position. The ends of the tube are surrounded by cork sleeves e which fit the bottle neck, and an ordinary cork t is provided. In a modification, a disc valve of glass, vulcanite. metal, &c. is provided and seats on the lower cork sleeve e, which has a metal liner and has its upper part embraced by the end of the tube a. Slots are formed in the tube a above and below the uppermost position of the disc valve to allow the passage of the liquid.
