[Class 12 (iii).] An apparatus for maintaining a supply of lubricating- oil to the crank-case of an engine comprises a reservoir R and a pipe Q fitted with a valve V which is opened by an electromagnet E, and closed by means of a float F actuated bv the rising oil level within the crank-case. A tap T or other form of hand-operated valve may also be provided in the pipe O. Specification 143,454, [Class 12 (iii), Lubricators &c.], is referred to.
