[Class 44.] A locking device for sliding-clasp fasteners comprises a leathercase look c arranged at one end of the slit in the article to be closed and a projection or lug b rigidly fixed to or formed integrally with one end of the slider a and engaging an opening or slot in the lock when the fastener is in the closed position. The lock may be arranged in the same plane as the fastening as shown in Fig. 1 or it may be arranged perpendicular to the fastening.
