Abstract
404,782. Sliding - clasp fasteners. BRECKNELL, W. H., 28, Meadow Street, Weston-super-Mare. Oct. 27, 1932, No. 30068. [Class 44.] The slider of a sliding- clasp fastener is locked in the closed position by permutation rings 5 mounted thereon and co-operating with projections 7 on a locking bar 6 adapted to pass through the rings. The locking bar 6 may be carried by the slider, as shown, a projection 8 engaging with shoulders 9 at the end of the stringers to lock the slider when the bar is moved to the right, Fig. 4, and the combination upset ; a stop flange 10 prevents removal of the bar 6. Alternatively, the bar 6 may be pivotally mounted on the article to be fastened, adjacent the closed end of the stringers.
