Abstract
500,268. Sliding - clasp fastenings. KUNA, J. Aug. 6, 1937, No. 21751. Convention date, June 12. [Class 44] Sliding-clasp fasteners in which the interlocking projections and recesses on the fastener elements lie at 45‹ to the longitudinal axis of the complete fastener may be provided with fastener elements of prismatic form 1, Fig. 1, which are disposed at 45‹ to the axis of the complete fastener and have the interlocking projection 3 on the end face and the interlocking recess 4 on the top face, or with elements 7 of right-angle isosceles form, Fig. 3, which are attached by their base and have the interlocking projection 9 and recess 10 on the two sides, or with elements 13 of circular form, Fig. 5. The fastener elements are slotted in their base and may be attached directly to the article, without the intermediary of the usual stringer tapes, by adhesive. The base portion may be thicker as shown in Fig. 8, and may carry an ornamental top button 25; the top plate of the slider, by which the elements are interconnected, passes below such ornamental buttons.
