Abstract
658,595. Sliding-clasp fasteners. ISUNZA, R. DE T., and DIEZY CIA, SOC. ANON. July 27, 1949, Nos. 19799 and 19800. Convention dates, July 27, 1948 and June 30, 1949. [Class 44] Each of the elements of a sliding-clasp fastener is perforated with a hole perpendicular to its plane so that when the fastener is closed all the holes are aligned, a wire then being inserted therethrough. In the form of Figs. 2 and 3, the hole 7 passes through the projection 2 of the element 1, there being a slot 9 from the hole to the side of the element. A blade 8, Fig. 4, attached to one of the spaced walls of the slider 4 is adapted to enter the slots 9 and thread the wire 10 connected to it through the holes 7 as the slider is moved to fasten the elements. In another form the slot 9 is omitted, the wire being threaded through the aligned holes in the elements when fastened and if desired it may be connected to the slider by means of a seal.
