Abstract

299,620. Meynell, H. Nov. 17, 1927. Tension arrangements; thread-guides.-A balldrag device for tensioning yarns of the type wherein, the porcelain body-member a, Fig. 1, is formed integral with the yarn guide e, is provided with a ball-retaining wine i secured to the device itself, e.g. by means of the holding-down screw d. In a modification, the member a, Fig. 5, is integral with the guide and is formed with a retaining rim m, the member a<1> supporting the ball b being removably supported therein by a pivoted catch-plate n. The Provisional Specification describes a lattice, sheet or cage retainer which may be swivelled on the body-member or secured in a slot formed therein.
