Abstract

315,137. Burtinshaw, Ltd., J., and Burtinshaw, S. J. G. Aug. 31, 1928. Thread - guides. - A thread-guide for spinning and doubling frames of the type wherein the guide D is adjusted by a circular or spherical nut E, Figs. 1 and 5, which projects through an aperture b<1> in the bottom plate B of the lappet A B, is formed without an intermediate plate the guide wire d being clamped in position by a nut f on a bolt F, Fig. 2, fixed to the top plate A and projecting through the bottom plate, the nut f serving to force the plate B against the wire d and the nut E against top plate A. The lappet is formed from a single sheet bent over at the front, the top plate A having depending side flanges a. The nut E may engage the underside of the plate A but preferably projects through an aperture a<1>, while the form having the spherical nut E is provided with an extended slot b, Fig. 1, to permit lateral adjustment.
