Abstract

284,155. Boig, J. H. C. Aug. 9, 1927. Razors.-A blade holder for use in stropping &c. safety razor blades comprises a handle 11 with an extension 19 on which the blade 23 is positioned by projection 21 engaging the usual holes in the blade, and a sliding member 13 housed in the handle and slidable, by a button 14 projecting through a slot 15, into position over the blade. The sliding member has a groove 24 to give clearance for the heads of projections 21 and its end 16 is bevelled to engage an undercut socket 17 at the end of extension 19 to give a clamping action. The parts have the crosssection shown in Fig. 5 to ensure application of the edge of blade 23 to the strop &c. at the correct angle.
