Casings; protecting covers; closure members.- A bath or like tap comprises a two part valve casing E, F assembled within an enamelled or like shell A and secured by horizontal and vertical adjustments which draw lugs E<1> on one part E into engagement with seating A<4> in the shell. Specification 211,359 is referred to. The casing part F is flanged at F<3> to seat, with a packing washer F<4>, against the opening A' in the shell and is screwed at E<3> into the part E forming the seating for the valve member V. The part E is adjusted laterally by a nut E<7> screwing on to the threaded inlet portion E<2> and bearing against a closure washer E<5> with a packing ring E<4>. The upper portion of the casing F is suitably glanded for the valve spindle F<1> and is threaded at F<5> to receive a ring C<2> let into or forming part of a cover C the upper edge C<1> of which is surrounded by a flange B' on the handle B. The valve outlet O communicates with a discharge aperture arranged at the base A<3> of the shell or otherwise as convenient.
