Float valves.-The float 2 operating the pilot valve 4 of the feed water supply regulator described in the parent Specification is open at the top to allow it to fill with water discharged from the valve. A number of openings 2b or a continuous annular opening may be formed in a channel 2<a> in the top of the float. The float is made of cast iron, steel, bronze, or the like and is supported on a spring 3 or on a spindle extending through the float casing and attached to a counterbalanced lever.
