Abstract
249,825. Krumm, P., and Seignol, E. March 27, 1925, [Convention date]. Indicators actuated by floats. - A container 2 is provided with a column of liquid 5, e.g., mercury, having upper and lower chambers 3, 4, and pivoted at 3<1>. The column carries an arm 7 to which a float 6 is pivoted at 7<1>. The chamber 3 communicates with the air by a passage, and the chamber 4 by a pipe 1<1> with a manometer 1. A change in liquid level causes a variation in the angle of the column 5, and consequently a variation of the head of mercury H which transmits pressure through the tube 1 to the manometer. In a modification, the chamber 3 may be connected to the manometer, and the chamber 4 to the atmosphere.
