Abstract

190,307. Constantinesco, G. Oct. 22, 1921. Indicators actuated by pressure of head of liquid. -Relates to liquid-level indicators such as are described in Specification 189,234 in which the pressure necessary to expel liquid from a tube extending to the bottom of the tank is registered by a gauge having a gauge glass b provided with an enlarged lower end p in order to magnify the scale of the readings. A pillar t of appropriate size is inserted inside the enlarged lower end of the tube so that by selecting a pillar of suitable diameter, a gauge of standard size may be rendered suitable for any depth of tank. The diameter of the gauge glass may be enlarged at its extreme lower end or the diameter of the lower end of the pillar diminished in order to obtain more accurate readings when the tank is nearly empty.
