Jib cranes.-To obtain approximately horizontal travel of the load in lufting, the load-rope E passes over the jib-head sheave A, a sheave B suitably located on the crane structure, a sheave C on a link D pivoted to the jib-head, a second sheave B, and to the hoisting drum F. There may be more than one sheave at C and more than two at B. The rope E may be led through a fall-block and secured to the jib-head or reeved again over the sheaves at A, B. C. An additional sheave may be provided on the link D for a luffing rope.
