Abstract

405,543. Pulley - hoists. STAHL AKT.-GES., R., Stuttgart, Germany. July 5, 1933, No. 19106. Convention date, July 7, 1932. [Class 78 (v).] In a hoist of the kind in which the load rope 13 passes from a fixed position on the winch around a sheave 15 on the hoisting hook 16, sheave 9 on the winch frame and a sheave 14 on the hoisting hook to the drum 3, the spindle of the sheave 9 extends in a direction at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the drum in a plane which passes through the middle of the length of the drum, or in a plane closely adjacent and parallel thereto. The point 12 at which the rope is secured to the frame is disposed also in a plane which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the drum and which passes through the middle of its length, or in a plane closely adjacent and parallel thereto. The sheave 9 and point 12 are on opposite sides of the travelling mechanism, the motor or gear casing of which serves as a spindle for the sheave.
