Abstract

198,538. Forster, W. A. May 5, 1922. Bayonet-joint fastenings.-A device for locking bayonetcap lamps and plugs in holders comprises a ring 5 rotatable on the holder and hav - ing slots 11 with which the lamp pins 12 engage and projections 7 that are brought into locking engagement with the bayonet slots of the holder when the lamp bulb &c. is inserted, and a sleeve 1 having a flange 3 adapted to rest on the neck of the lamp bulb &c. and to support a spring 4 that retains the ring 5 in the locked position. To release the lock, the ring 5 is pulled downwards by claws 15 on a special tool 14, and the bulb &c. can then be turned to withdraw it from the holder.
