Abstract
178,612. Francis, H. Feb. 8, 1921. Holders.-A locking-device which prevents the removal of a lamp bulb d<1> from its holder c until the bulb has been destroyed comprises a telescopic collar a, b adapted to be lengthened but not shortened, and to abut when in position against shoulders on the holder and on the bulb respectively. The collar may be lengthened either by screwing or by sliding one part on the other. In the first case, a pawl b<1>, Figs. 4 and 5, on the part b is adapted to engage notches a<1> on the part a to prevent reverse movement, and in the second case the notches are provided by continuous ribs a', Fig. 6, or by rows of apertures a<4>, Fig. 7.
