Abstract

364,456. Electric lamp holders. WEIL, R., 3, Rue Turenne, Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France. April 8, 1931, No. 10365. Convention date, April 14, 1930. [Class 39 (ii).] For preventing the theft of electric incandescent lamps of the bayonet-joint type a spring lamella 6, Fig. 2, with one end riveted to the exterior of the lamp holder 3 is provided at its free end with an inwardly bent hook 6<1>. which covers a part of one of the bayonet slots 5, and a sleeve 4 is provided to prevent access to the lamella after a lamp has been inserted, the arrangement being such that, when a pin 7 of the lamp cap 2 is inserted and turned in the bayonet slot it snaps behind the hook 6<1>. To disengage the pin 7 from the hook 6<1> necessitates the breakage of the lamp bulb 1 and removal of the sleeve 4. A beading 41 prevents the removal of the sleeve 4 in an upward direction. The locking-device may be applied to both slots of the lamp holder.
