Abstract

4964. Vice, J. A. Feb. 26. Seals. -A brass or other metal sleeve a adapted to fit over a bayonet holder is provided with diametrically opposite holes b for the reception of the lamp pins and with pressed-in catches c which automatically engage the bayonet slots when the lamp is inserted after previously slipping the sleeve over the lamp cap. The holes b are preferably formed with internal burrs. To unlock the lamp, the sleeve a may be cut through by means of a cutter j, Fig. 5, adjacent to a fulcrum h on a shank g. According to the Provisional Specification, the catches may yield sufficiently to enable the lamp to be removed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 6132/10.
