Abstract
1447578 Hollow puffed food product MEIJI SEIKA KAISHA Ltd 7 Nov 1974 [13 Nov 1973] 48277/74 Heading A2B Edible food particles (such as pea nuts, dried fruit pieces and peas are coated alternately with aqueous compositions and edible flour compositions, and baking the coated particle in a mould such that the coating expands to the shape of the mould leaving a central void containing the edible food particle. The coating compositions are suitably cereal flour and/ or starch and water, a syrup, a gum solution, a dextrin solution or a mixture thereof. The particle may initially be coated with an edible fatty composition.
