Abstract

1,045,706. Swimming pools. VEREINIGTE METALLWERKE RANSHOFEN - BERNDORF A.G. Feb. 17, 1965 [Feb. 19, 1964], No. 6846/65. Heading A4N. A member of ractangular S-form in cross-section is secured at the upper edges of plates 1, forming the side wall of a swimming pool, to provide a scum channel 14 and a lip 13 for use as a hand rail. Preferably, a welded metal construction and corrugated plates 1 are used. A kick-off area may be provided with flat plates 15 and a box or U-section member 17. Stone slabs 16 are supported by bars 21 and anchoring members 29 connected to stiffening beams 20 are provided. Drainage tubes 24 are connected to the scum channels. A form stated to be useful for patching broken concrete walled pools is also described (Fig. 2, not shown).
