Abstract

1,020,099. Swimming pools. VEREINIGTE METALLWERKE RANSHOFEN-BERNDORF A.G. Dec. 20, 1963 [Dec. 21, 1962], No. 50465/63. Heading A4N. The upper edge of a sunken metal swimming pool is strengthened by welding a lattice girder thereto. The girder is constructed from transverse members 3 welded to extend between chord members 9 and 4, the former being welded to corrugated sheet metal wall 7 and serving as an overflow channel. Struts 15 transmit the lateral thrust of the water on wall 7 to concrete buttresses 14. The metal parts may be of aluminium.
