Abstract

1,069,325. Prefabricated walls. P. J. G. DOTREMONT. May 19, 1964 [May 22, 1963; April 13, 1964], No. 20622/64. Heading E1W. Prefabricated slabs 1 are supported on one or both sides of prefabricated, T-sectioned columns of, e.g. reinforced concrete by receses 28 therein, which engage over horizontally or upwardly-directed projections on the stems of the columns. The slabs may be flat, with rotated edges (Fig. 1, not shown), flat with rebated edges and marginal vertical ribs, (Fig. 3, not shown), or they may have eccentric frames, as shown. The recesses may be rhomboided or, as shown, trapezoidal in cross-section, and may be lined, as at 29. The projections may be integral with the column items, (Fig. 6, not shown), or may comprise horizontally projecting rods, (Figs. 21, 22 not shown) which may be welded to the column reinforcement, or set in tubes fixed to temporary supporting rods in the column shuttering.
