1,194,924. Improvements relating to swimming pools or baths. DYCKERHOFF & WIDMANN K.G. and IBACO BAUCOORDINIERUNGS G.m.b.H. & CO. K.G. 14 Sept., 1967 [15 Sept., 1966; 7 March, 1967], No. 41963/67. Heading A4N. A swimming pool or bath, the effective depth of which is adjustable is characterized by the provision of a flose bottom which comprises prefabricated reinforced concrete structural members which are supported by the lifting devices and are spanned by prefabricated reinforced and closely spaced covering plates. In Fig. 1 a false bottom 3 comprises two main members 5 which extend through the length of the pool and in the region of their ends 7 rest on four supports 4 of the lifting devices and are spanned by prefabricated concrete covering plates 6. A trailing bottom 8 is hinged to the bottom 3 and is fitted with a roller 11. Plates 6 may be fitted with depending ribs which may be undercut. They may have ceramic covering.
