Abstract

The unitary rear supporting cross-member is for a monobloc bicycle brake. It has a central cube-shaped body with a drilling through it accommodating the brake spindle. The central body is extended on each side by a hollow cone portion. The drilling can be large enough to accommodate a screwed drum with knurled wheel securing the protruding screw of the brake body. A toothed washer between drum and member locks the brake body in place, with the drum entirely inside the drilling.
