Abstract

A device for adjusting the spindle of the rear wheel of a bicycle includes a hole (12) through the rear of each of two brackets (1) and in line with a slot (13) into which is fitted a screw (3). a another hole (14) intersects thsi hole (12) and receives a bush (4) which has a tapped hole (41) in line with the first hole (12). by rotating the screw in this tapped hole, the screw can be adjusted forwards or backwards towards the wheel spindle to position it in the slot. (A cap (5) can be moutned on the screw to abut against the spindle. Other designs include other types of unit, one design not using the cap.
