Abstract

934,623. Pedal cycles. R. E. BROWN. July 2, 1962 [Aug. 29, 1961], No 31009/61. Classes 136(2) and 136(3). A pedal cycle is characterized by having transmission between a relatively large gear wheel 24 mounted and turning with the crankshaft 21 and a pinion 30 mounted on and turning with the rear wheel spindle 27 effected by a freely rotatable intermediate gear-wheel 31. The rear wheel assembly comprises twin rear wheels 28, 28<SP>1</SP> with the pinion 30 between them, the frame being bifurcated from in front of the crankshaft 21 backwards. The handlebars 14a shown are of unconventional design.
