Abstract

L'invention a pour objet la production de dépôts électrolytiques brillants de zinc Elle consiste à faire passer un courant d'une anode en zinc à une cathode métallique pendant une durée suffisante pour déposer une couche électrolytique lustrée à brillante de zinc sur ladite cathode, le courant passant à travers un bain acide aqueux contenant au moins un composé de zinc qui fournit des cations zinc pour l'électrodéposition du zinc, ledit composé de zinc étant choisi parmi le sulfate, le chlorure et le sulfamate de zinc, des anions chlorure qu'on introduit sous forme de sels de cations compatibles avec le bain à l'exception de l'ammonium et en l'absence d'agents complexants ou chélatants de nature organique, le bain contenant, à titre d'additifs coopérants, au moins un alkyl-propoxyéthoxy-polyéther, au moins un agent de dispersion ou d'émulsionnement qui est un sulfonate aromatique et au moins un composé carbonylique aromatique. Dépôts de protection et d'ornementation sur des substrats métalliques quelconques.
