Abstract

The invention relates to a coupling device for the ends, supported on a common bogie, of two vehicle units (1 and 3) which are connected to one another in an articulated fashion, of an articulated rail-bound vehicle, consisting of a fork head (2) which is attached to one vehicle unit (1) and has two lateral fork elements (2a), of a connecting bracket (4) which is attached to the other vehicle unit (3) and is inserted between the two fork elements (2a), and a coupling bolt (6) with spherical bearing (7) arranged in the connecting bracket (4), the upper part of a bogie pin (8) which is supported on the bogie being arranged under the fork head (2). The object of the invention consisted in designing a coupling device of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that, on the one hand, the required properties relating to force transmission and play-free bearing are ensured but, on the other hand, easy fitting and removal of the coupling bolt (6) and detachment of the two vehicle units (1 and 3) from one another is ensured using simple means. This object is achieved in that the spherical bearing (7) with the coupling bolt (6) is permanently arranged in the connecting bracket (4), the two fork elements (2a) have horizontally divided bearings, consisting of a lower fixed bearing shell (13) and an upper detachable bearing shell (14), for the coupling bolt (6), by means of which bearing shells (13 and 14) the coupling bolt (6) can be clamped tight in the fork elements (2a). <IMAGE>
