Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for piecing a thread in an open-end spinning machine with a plurality of juxtaposed spinning stations.
  • a re-spun thread is temporarily withdrawn from a spinning station by means of an auxiliary roller pair which is arranged in a maintenance device which can be moved along the spinning frame and which comprises at least one driven drive roller and a pressure roller which can be pressed against it.
  • the withdrawn by the pair of auxiliary rollers yarn is transferred to a main pair of draw rollers of the open-end spinning machine.
  • the invention relates to a corresponding device for piecing a thread.
  • Such a device or such a method are well known in the art and, for example, in the DE 10 2004 002 741 described.
  • the affected spinning station must be temporarily shut down in order to be able to initiate the piecing process by means of a maintenance device that can be moved along the spinning machine.
  • the thread end is received by corresponding organs of the maintenance device and returned by an auxiliary roller pair, which is also arranged in the maintenance device, in the spinning station of the open-end spinning machine. There, in a known manner, the actual piecing.
  • the newly formed thread is first withdrawn by means of an auxiliary roller pair arranged in the maintenance device and, as soon as the yarn withdrawal effected by the auxiliary roller pair has reached a desired speed, to a main take-off roller pair of the open-end spinning machine to hand over.
  • Return and withdrawal of the thread can be accomplished by a single pair of auxiliary rollers, but there may also be two auxiliary roller pairs.
  • feed, thread withdrawal and winding must be adapted to the delivery speed of the open-end spinning machine in precisely defined time ratios. The corresponding components and devices of the maintenance device and the newly wound thread are therefore exposed to heavy loads and accelerations.
  • the auxiliary roller pair In order to be able to pull off the newly spun yarn from the open-end spinning machine, the auxiliary roller pair usually has a driven drive roller and a pressure roller that can be pressed against it. In order to produce sufficient for the thread take-off coefficient of friction, the pressure roller is usually equipped with a rubber coating. Due to the slippage of the yarn on the pair of auxiliary rollers during the withdrawal, however, the rollers, in particular the drive roller, are subject to severe wear. In particular, in a rubberized pressure roller incisions occur after a very short time by the withdrawn thread. In a corresponding device of the prior art, therefore, the roles of the auxiliary roller pair or their coverings are checked daily by a visual inspection and change with appropriate wear.
  • Object of the present invention is therefore to propose a device for piecing, in which the service life of the pads of the auxiliary roller pair is extended in comparison to the prior art and thread cuts are largely avoided.
  • a newly spun thread is temporarily removed from a spinning station by means of an auxiliary roller pair which is arranged in a maintenance device movable along the spinning frame and comprises at least one driven drive roller and a pressure roller that can be pressed against it.
  • feeding, yarn withdrawal and winding are adapted by means of the service device to the delivery speed of the open-end spinning machine, wherein the newly spun yarn is temporarily withdrawn by the auxiliary roller pair.
  • the spun yarn is transferred to a main pair of draw rollers of the open-end spinning machine. According to the invention it is now provided that the spun yarn is oscillated with respect to the auxiliary roller pair by a traversing device.
  • the auxiliary roller pair is assigned a thread guiding device.
  • the piecing apparatus further comprises a traversing device for traversing the yarn to be withdrawn in relation to the auxiliary roller pair.
  • the traversing device is formed by the auxiliary roller pair associated thread guide device. This is arranged to be movable with respect to the auxiliary roller pair.
  • the traversing can be realized in a simple manner by using an already existing thread guiding device.
  • the thread guide device comprises two thread guides, of which at least one is movable in the axial direction of the rollers to form a traversing device.
  • a yarn guide device can be formed when the yarn guide two yarn guide plates with corresponding recesses for guiding the yarn on the auxiliary roller pair, for example are arranged above and below the auxiliary roller pair.
  • both yarn guides can be moved together, or it can be arranged only a single, movable yarn guide in the piecing roller pair.
  • the thread guide is movable by an actuating device for pressing the pressure roller.
  • actuating device for example, a pneumatic cylinder is arranged, which folds the pressure roller against the drive roller to clamp the thread during piecing between the two rollers.
  • the movement of such an actuator can also be used to drive the traversing device or a yarn guide.
  • At least one of the rollers of the auxiliary roller pair in particular the pressure roller, arranged to be movable in the direction of its axis to form the traversing device.
  • the traversing device can be actuated by an overshoot from the actuating device of the pressure roller, or from a drive of the drive roller, since already existing drive elements are used for driving the traversing device.
  • the traversing device is actuated by an actuating device for pressing the pressure roller.
  • the traversing device With each operation or with each folding of the pressure roller to the drive roller, the traversing device is actuated, wherein the position of the thread to be withdrawn is changed with respect to the auxiliary roller pair.
  • the thread is thus driven at each piecing operation at a different position.
  • the traversing of the thread is realized here by a relative movement between the pair of auxiliary rollers and a thread guiding device, wherein both a movement of one or both rollers or a movement of the thread guiding device is possible.
  • a uniform wear of the rollers or the linings of the rollers can be achieved.
  • the service life of the pressure roller which is usually provided with a rubber coating, can thus be improved.
  • the pressure roller and / or the drive roller has a coating, in particular a rubber coating.
  • the service life of the rollers or their coverings can be further improved.
  • the surface of the drive roller is structured, for example corrugated, is.
  • a favorable coefficient of friction can thereby be obtained and the slippage of the yarn on the auxiliary roller pair can be reduced, which also improves the service life of the rollers.
  • a corrugated surface may be advantageous.
  • the drive roller has a coating, in particular a diamond coating, in order to reduce the slippage of the yarn on the rollers.
  • FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of an apparatus for piecing a thread F in an open-end spinning machine.
  • the open-end spinning machine 1 is indicated in the present illustration only by a dashed line.
  • the open-end spinning machine has a plurality of juxtaposed, similar spinning stations 2, each having a spinning element, such as a spinning rotor 3, and which are acted upon by spinning vacuum.
  • Each spinning station 2 further comprises a feed unit, not shown here, as well as a release device, also not shown, which dissolve a fiber sliver fed into the spinning station into individual fibers and feed them into the spinning rotor 3.
  • the fibers which have reached the spinning rotor 3 are continuously bound into a yarn end E of a yarn F which has been withdrawn continuously from the spinning station 2.
  • the thread F is withdrawn through a thread withdrawal tube 5 from the spinning station 2.
  • the spun yarn F is withdrawn through a main pair of withdrawal rollers 6 and wound on a spool 7, which rests on a driven winding roller 8.
  • FIG. 1 with a dot-dash line a maintenance device 10 is shown, which is movable in the longitudinal direction of the open-end spinning machine 1 along the spinning units 2 to perform maintenance.
  • a device for piecing a thread F on As shown, two auxiliary roller pairs 12 and 13 are arranged in the maintenance device 10 for this purpose.
  • organs of the maintenance device 10 the thread end E is guided between the two rollers of the auxiliary roller pairs 12, 13, clamped there and returned by a drive against the withdrawal direction in the spinning rotor 3.
  • the newly wound thread F is withdrawn from the spinning station 2 by the auxiliary roller pair 12 until the fiber feed, yarn withdrawal and winding have reached their desired values corresponding to the delivery speed of the open-end spinning machine 1.
  • the clamping by the second auxiliary roller pair 13 is meanwhile canceled.
  • the maintenance device 10 a control device 15, which will not be discussed here, since this is not essential for the understanding of the invention.
  • the yarn withdrawal effected by the auxiliary roller pair 12 has reached its setpoint speed, the yarn F is again transferred to the machine-side main draw-off roller pair 6 and further pulled off by it.
  • the auxiliary roller pair 12 is in this case subjected to high loads and high wear due to the strong accelerations of the thread F to be withdrawn.
  • the service life of the rollers of the auxiliary roller pair 12 or their coverings is thus often low in devices of the prior art.
  • the auxiliary roller pair 12 is formed by a driven drive roller 12a and a pressure roller 12b which can be pressed against the latter and which is frequently provided with a rubber coating. In devices of the prior art, this shows even after a short time cuts through the withdrawn thread F. According to the invention, therefore, measures are provided which the slip of the deducted thread F on the rollers of the auxiliary roller pair 12, which temporarily removes the thread F from the spinning station 2, reduce and improve the life of the rollers, in particular the pressure roller 12b.
  • FIG. 2 shows a detailed view of the auxiliary roller pair 12 with a traversing device according to the invention.
  • the pair of auxiliary rollers comprises a drive roller 12a, which can be driven by a drive 16, in this case an electric motor, and a pressure roller 12b, which can be pressed by an actuating device onto the drive roller 12a.
  • the auxiliary roller pair is associated with a thread guiding device 17, which in the present case comprises an upper thread guide 18a and a lower thread guide 18b.
  • the yarn guides 18 are realized by yarn guide plates, which are arranged above and below the auxiliary roller pair 12.
  • the thread F which is not visible in this illustration, is pulled off by the auxiliary roller pair 12, being guided by the thread guiding device 17.
  • a traversing device 19 is provided for traversing the thread F to be withdrawn with respect to the auxiliary roller pair 12.
  • the upper yarn guide plate is movably arranged with respect to the auxiliary roller pair 12 to form a traversing device 19.
  • the yarn guide plate is this driven by a driver 20 and an eccentric 21.
  • the Exenteremia 21 is in turn connected to a shaft not visible here, which is driven by the actuating device for the pressure roller 12b, here a pneumatic cylinder 22.
  • the drive of the shaft is provided with a freewheel 23, so that the shaft is driven only when pressing the pressure roller 12b, but not when resetting and canceling the clamping.
  • the drive roller 12a is usually made of steel, while the pressure roller 12b is provided with a rubber coating. To reduce the slip, it may be provided according to the invention to provide the drive roller 12a also with a rubber coating. Likewise, the drive roller 12a may be provided with a textured surface. For this purpose, for example, a corrugated steel roll in question. By these measures, a favorable coefficient of friction on the rollers can be achieved. It is also possible to provide the drive roller 12a with a coating, for example a diamond coating.
  • FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of a traversing device 19 according to the invention, in which also an upper yarn guide 18a is deflected discontinuously by the actuator for the pressure roller 12b.
  • the traversing device 19 includes in the example shown a shaft (not shown here) which, as in FIG FIG. 2 shown by a pneumatic cylinder 22 (not shown) for actuating the pressure roller 12b is driven via a freewheel 23.
  • the shaft is in turn connected to an eccentric disc 21, the pin 25 in a groove 26 in the thread guide 18 a, which is also designed here as a thread guide plate engages. With each operation of the pneumatic cylinder 22, which presses the pressure roller 12b against the drive roller 12a, the shaft is driven.
  • the thread guide plate is moved, whereby the thread F is driven at a different position between the rollers 12 each time.
  • the freewheel 23 prevents a return of the thread guide 18a, when the pneumatic cylinder 22 retracts. Instead of the upper yarn guide plate as well as the lower yarn guide plate can be driven as well.
  • the pressure roller 12b may be associated with a separate drive for this purpose. It is also possible to move the drive roller 12a or both rollers together with respect to a stationary thread guide 18 to form a traversing device 19. *** " The drive of the traversing device 19 can in this case by an overrun of existing drives, such as the electric motor for driving the drive roller 12a or, as in FIG. 2 represented by an actuating device of the pressure roller 12 b, be formed or it can also be a separate drive for the traversing device 19 may be provided.
