Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electronic control unit according to the preamble of claim 1, a pump drive unit according to the preamble of claim 19, a method for manufacturing and an electro-hydraulic control device according to the preambles of claims 24 and 25.
  • an ABS control device which is constructed according to the principle of a so-called "magnetic plug” with movable, elastically held valve coils in an electronics housing.

  • FIGS. 20 and 21 Another example of a current controller connected to a valve block for a vehicle dynamics control device, suitable for ABS and ESP, according to the prior art, is described in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 20 and 21. This construction also does not yet sufficiently meet the requirements placed on a modern electrohydraulic control unit for motor vehicle brake systems.
  • the object of the present invention is to make an electrohydraulic control unit of the type mentioned at the outset with a still further reduced use of constructional and functional resources, with particularly good conditions for dissipating the heat generated by the electronic components.
  • the so-called controller housing is primarily used to hold electronic control modules.
  • the controller housing can be connected via electrical and hydraulic interfaces to a hydraulic unit in a manner known per se to form an electro-hydraulic control unit.

In addition, the use of a second circuit board creates more space that can be used for cooling.

  • the control device according to the invention according to claim 24 has a whole series of advantages over the solutions known in the prior art. Due to the constantly growing range of functions of the electronics and an ever increasing integration density, the derivation of the increasing heat loss of the circuit is of increasing importance. Due to the thermal connection according to the invention of a flat cooling element (e.g. through the metal body embedded in the housing) to the hydraulic block, the cooling element and thus also the sensitive electronic semiconductor components are connected to a highly heat-conductive heat reservoir with high specific heat via a direct metallic connection, so that the necessary Cooling of the electronic components is significantly improved by a low thermal resistance. According to the proposed concept, the large thermal capacity of the valve block can advantageously be used for cooling.
  • This optimized suspension of the circuit board also gives the possibility that additional circuit boards for integrating sensors, for example, can be attached to the main board without the additional mass for the circuit board suspension being critical.
