Definitions
- the invention relates to a fireplace, with a housing, which has a combustion chamber, a chimney located above it and forms a chimney connection with a lockable the combustion chamber Windscreen, a flap provided at the top of the chimney or the like and with a deflection channel for the flue gas, wherein in open state of the flap a direct extraction of the smoke gases from the Combustion chamber in the fireplace takes place, however, with the flap closed hot flue gases down through the deflection channel and then again be directed upwards into the chimney.
- a chimney above and below the combustion chamber fireplace is arranged.
- the flap can be swiveled so that the flue gases can be extracted directly locked in the chimney and the flue gases in via a U-shaped duct be directed to the fireplace.
- This channel is formed by baffles which are arranged inside the chimney on the rear wall of the housing are. The hot rising smoke gas in the chimney is at this flap deflected into the channel and initially flows downwards in the caused fall train and afterwards high again in the climb and through the fireplace upstairs. With this deflection of the flue gas compared to a direct deduction, a limited improvement in efficiency brought about in terms of heat emission.
- the object is achieved in that the deflection channel is arranged such that the flue gases from the closed flap in the deflection channel down into the area of the combustion chamber are, the deflecting channel at least partially the back of the Combustion chamber and at least partially forms the rear wall of the housing.
- the deflection channel extends to the bottom of the combustion chamber. This can be compared to the known fireplaces substantial increase in efficiency when fully open guaranteed extraction of the flue gases can be achieved.
- the smoke gases have in this inventive design of the deflection channel optimal flow rate and there is thus a maximum Heat emission of the flue gases to, for example, behind the Rear wall of the circulated hot air.
- Fig. 1 shows a vertical section of a fireplace according to the invention.
- FIG. 1 shows a fireplace 10, which in the present example as a use that is usually prefabricated in a factory is illustrated, the assembled in a house and with Exception of its front window is walled accordingly. It will still be referred to the document DE-A 196 31 701 mentioned at the beginning, in which the structure of such an insert in perspective can be seen.
- This fireplace hearth 10 illustrated as an insert has a housing 20, which has a combustion chamber 15 in the lower region, one above this located chimney 16 and one going up or to the side Chimney connection 17 or 18 forms.
- the housing 20 is on a base 11 held, in the latter an ash container 12 and one on this placed grate 13 are present.
- the combustion chamber 15 can be made accessible for the filling of wood or be closed during the firing.
- the flue 16 advantageously has an upwardly tapering design and ends with a nozzle flanged at the top or side Chimney connection 17, 18.
- the rear wall 23 of this chimney 16 is here arranged vertically, however, the front wall 16 'obliquely inwards runs.
- a pivotable flap 24 built in by a lever linkage 29 operated either by hand or from the front window 14 and can be pivoted into the open or closed position 24 '.
- the flap 24 'closed the hot flue gases become a deflection channel 21, 22 passed.
- the deflection channel 21, 22 is arranged such that the smoke gases running according to the indicated arrow 25 when closed Flap 24 'in the deflection channel 21, 22 down to Area of the combustion chamber 15 are guided, the deflection channel 21, 22nd at least partially the rear 15 'of the combustion chamber 15 and at least partially forms the rear wall 23 of the housing 20.
- the deflection channel having a U-shape in the vertical section shown 21, 22 very advantageously extends approximately from the upper end of the Chimney 16 to the bottom 15 "of the combustion chamber 15. It forms here one starting from the flap 24 in the upper region of the chimney 16, to so-called drop train leading almost to the ground and one subsequent so-called ascent to the chimney for the flue gas to be removed.
- the deflection channel 21, 22 are expediently three approximately parallel assigned to each other arranged channel walls, of which the first the rear 15 'of the combustion chamber 15, the second the middle wall 28 and the third forms the rear wall 23 of the housing 20.
- This the back 15 'of the combustion chamber 15 forming channel wall is spaced at the top Flap 24 forming a channel inlet 21 'and down to the floor 15 "of the combustion chamber arranged, the 15" at the bottom Combustion chamber 15 separates from the channel 21, 22 formed.
- the middle wall 28 in turn extends from the sloping frame plate 31 vertically down to above the bottom 15 "below which a through opening 32 is formed through which the falling flue gas is redirected upwards.
- the rear wall of the case forms 23 the channel limitation.
- baffle 33 in the lower region of the chimney 16 present, which is attached to the back 15 'and laterally extends into the top of the flue gas chamber. With this baffle 33 as well the inlet plate 34 arranged above the rear side 15 ' is an optimal control of the flue gas in the direction of the arrow shown 25 allows.
- the housing and the deflection channel could be like the rest of the construction can also be designed differently. So he could Deflection channel not all the way to the bottom 15 "of the combustion chamber 15 or but even led down to the ground.
- the chimney could also be shorter in height than is shown in FIG. 1 and in the sense the flap could also come close to being closed be arranged horizontally.
