Definitions
- the present invention relates to an oven according to the preamble of Claim 1 and a catalyst according to the preamble of claim 7.
- Such a catalyst is known from German specification DE 28 17 101, the catalyst being small through a ceramic disc with a multitude of holes Diameter is formed. During the cooking process or during a subsequent pyrolytic self-cleaning process flow the resulting Gases through the catalyst and are burned there or converted catalytically.
- Another catalyst is known from German published application DE 41 39 904 A1, wherein the catalyst is made from a self-supporting wire mesh. As Wire is particularly suitable for an aluminum-containing alloy, if necessary Contains cerium. With the help of the catalyst is in the closed oven muffle circulating air cleaned.
- a catalyst is known from German published patent application DE 41 42 336 A1 known that sits in a vapor outlet opening in the ceiling area of the oven muffle. As a result, vapors removed from the oven become a catalytic reaction Burn or neutralize unpleasant odors.
- the object of the present invention is an oven and a catalyst to provide with which an improved cleaning of the gases is possible.
- the catalytic converter has at least two fluidically one behind the other arranged partial catalysts.
- palladium as The catalyst material used to break down formaldehyde has a platinum coating especially to reduce carbon monoxide. So there is a risk of adverse mutual odor influence of the two catalytic converters is reduced an uncoated, if appropriate, between the at least two partial catalysts coarser mesh neutral filter arranged. This also contributes to one Uniformization of the flow through the catalyst.
- the catalyst is advantageously formed by a wire mesh, in particular good flowability of the catalyst and at the same time a large surface for to provide the catalytic reaction.
- the catalyst is in a flow-through, Pot-shaped housing arranged. This simplifies manufacture and assembly of the catalyst. The same purpose and the easy cleanability of the The measures according to claim 4 serve as a catalyst.
- the catalytic effect is particularly pronounced at the high temperatures that occur in pyrolytic self-cleaning operation.
- An oven 1 has a housing 3 which encloses an oven muffle 5. This is dressed in a conventional manner with a heat insulation material and on her Front can be closed with an oven door 7.
- the door consists of one metallic door floor 9, in which a viewing window 11 is held.
- door 7 In the front area of the On the door base 9, door 7 is a front window 13 that is spaced apart from the viewing window attached.
- Oven 1 is for pyrolytic self-cleaning operation Suitable, all components according to the occurring, especially are designed for high operating temperatures.
- a vapor opening 21 is also provided in this, which consists of several individual openings 22 (Fig. 2). Via a funnel-shaped connector 23, the vapor opening 21 is connected to a blow-out duct 25 which opens into the open above the door 7 in the front area of the oven 1. In the blow-out duct 25, a fan 27 for sucking air from the oven muffle 5 is arranged.
- a catalyst 35 is arranged in the area of the vapor opening 21.
- the catalyst has a cup-shaped housing 37 made of a good heat-conducting material, in particular Aluminum, in the bottom of which a plurality of suction openings 39 are formed.
- a fastening opening 41 through which a fastening screw 43 can be pushed through the catalyst 35 and in a mounting plate 45 of the top wall 20 of the oven muffle 5 is screwed can be.
- a bent peripheral edge 47 of the catalyst housing 37 is thereby pressed against the top wall 20.
- In the direction of flow there are three flat ones in a row Wire mesh arranged, the large areas of contact with each other and to the Have the inner wall of the housing 37 and the top wall 20.
- the first Wire mesh forms the first partial catalytic converter 49.
- the wire used for this is included Palladium coated and is used in particular to break down formaldehyde.
- the second Wire mesh is through an uncoated metal wire as a neutral filter 51 educated.
- the flow resistance of the neutral filter 51 is lower than that of the first partial catalyst 49 and a second partial catalyst 53, the fluidic after the neutral filter 51 and spatially separated from the first partial catalyst 49 is arranged.
- the knitted fabric of the second partial catalyst 53 is made of a platinum-coated one Metal wire formed for burning or neutralizing other odor or pollutants.
