Definitions
- the invention relates to a tool for finishing with a grout, in particular a permanently elastic grout, filled joints, the one plate-shaped base body with an essentially triangular Has shape.
- Such a tool is known from DE 94 13 523.1.
- the main body of the tool forming flat plate has a constant thickness, with a circumferential, edge protruding on both sides perpendicular to the plate plane, which in turn consists of three contiguous edges, two Edges are straight and one edge is curved.
- the two straight Edges as well as the longer of the two straight edges and the curved edge enclose an acute angle.
- the training of the known tool with an edge protruding on both sides perpendicular to the plate plane should cause the excess grout when finishing joints is picked up like a spoon by the tool, thus preventing it Should be that the grout again on tiles or other, the joint adjacent Shares.
- the design described in the utility model has the disadvantage that the removal of the grout taken up by the known tool only works insufficiently, because the parallel and raised to the level Plate trending surfaces of the peripheral edge in a material jam effect on the edges of the edge. Furthermore, there is the disadvantage that the flat plate by the circumferential edge of the tool from the Joint removed joint compound is contaminated, so that the known tool smeared in a disadvantageous manner, resulting in an inadequate Hold for the user's hand guiding the tool results.
- Another serious disadvantage of the known tool is that it can only be used for a few joint geometries to the contour of the joint shape:
- the known tool allows it in a disadvantageous manner only, either with the straight edge the grout of a joint that is between two plates enclosing an angle of 180 ° are to be smoothed out, or that the grout of a joint that enclose an acute angle between two Slabs lies, either with the rounded or the non-rounded Edit corner of the known tool.
- the smoothing process must be repeated several times, causing the efficiency of the processing due to the increasing time expenditure is reduced.
- the base body has essentially straight first edge, which starts from a first End substantially the entire length of a first side of the triangular Basic body extends and at its opposite the first end second end over a rounding into a first end one in passes substantially straight second edge, the first and the second Include an acute angle that the on a second side of the Main body extending, essentially straight second edge on the Opposite end in a curve forming a recess concave curvature merges with one on the second side of the Basic body extending third edge connects, and that the third edge in a first end of a running on a third side of the base body, essentially the entire side length of the third side of the base body engaging, arcuate fourth edge that passes over a rounding beginning at its second end into the first end of the first Edge passes.
- the measures according to the invention are particularly advantageous and way created a tool for the finishing of joints, which for a A variety of different joint geometries can be used.
- the Basic body of the tool according to the invention essentially flat plate at least in its predominant part of its edge area Has a thickness which is less than the thickness of the plate in its central region, and that preferably the edge region has a concave curvature towards the central region of the body passes over.
- the central region of the base body which is arranged higher than the edge region also causes an area to be formed that is free remains of the stripped joint material, so that the tool according to the invention not smeared in the middle by the excess grout is, which advantageously provides a secure hold for the tool leading hand of the user is trained.
- Another advantageous development of the invention provides that the opposite the central region increased the central region on at least one of the two plate sides has a concave curvature forming a trough.
- Another advantageous development of the invention provides that the opposite the edge area increased central area on the two plate sides of the bearing elements has, via which the inventive tool in a tool holder can be used.
- This measure makes it possible in an advantageous manner Way that the tool according to the invention not only by hand, but can also be operated via an appropriately trained tool holder.
- a Such a configuration has the advantage that it is fatigue-free and convenient Handling of the tool according to the invention is possible.
- the tool shown in Figures 1 to 3 and generally designated 1 for finishing joints with a grout, in particular a permanently elastic grout, filled, has one essentially triangular base body 10, preferably as an equilateral triangle is designed.
- the base body 10 is covered by a flat plate 11 upper plate side 11a and a lower plate side 11b, wherein the base body 10 has a first edge 2, which extends from a first end 2 'starting in a straight course essentially over the entire length the first side 10a of the triangular base body 10 to its second end 2 "extends.
- This second end 2" is followed by a curve 3, which into a first end 4 'of one on the second side 10b of the base body 10 connected second edge 4 merges with the first edge 2 a pointed Includes angle ⁇ , which is preferably 45 °.
- ⁇ which is preferably 45 °.
- the second edge 4 is closed by a concave forming an indentation 5 Curvature 5a on, which in a substantially straight third edge 7th merges, the first edge portion 7a with the extension of the second edge 4 encloses a small angle ⁇ .
- This first third straight edge section 7a of the edge 7 closes preferably a second edge section 7b of the third edge 7, which is connected to the first edge section 7a includes an acute angle each.
- One end 7 "of the third straight edge 7 goes over a corner point 8 into an arc fourth edge 9 over, the angle ⁇ between the straight third Edge 7 and a tangent to the arcuate fourth edge 9 in the corner point 8 is less than 90 °.
- the fourth edge 9 goes at its end 9 "over a curve 12 into the first end 2 'of the straight first edge 2.
- the described configuration of the base body 1 of the tool has the Advantage that a variety of processing areas - namely the different shaped edges 2-9 - within the compact body contour of one preferably equilateral triangle can be arranged. This will be more advantageous Way achieved that the tool described for post-processing of joints filled with a joint compound for the production of a large number of joint contours suitable is.
- the cross section of the substantially plate-shaped base body 10 is the best can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3. It is noticeable that an edge area 20 of the base body 10 has a smaller thickness than its central region 21, the peripheral edge region 20 with the central region 21 on the two Plate surfaces 11a, 11b over a slightly concavely curved region 22 of the Plate surfaces 11a, 11b, which then turns into a slightly convex slope 22a passes, is connected.
- the curved one goes Area 22 into the side area 23 of the edge area 20 Base body 1 over a sharp edge 24, which causes the excess Jointing material can be removed with razor-sharp precision, without it pollution of the surrounding plates.
- the base body 10 the curved area on its two plate surfaces 11a and 11b 22 has.
- the central region 22nd is provided with a recessed grip 25.
- the design of the tool 1 described so far is particularly advantageous Way suitable, directly operated by the user by hand to become. But it is also possible that tool 1 with the following described modifications in order to then use it like a tool holder, like the tool holder 30 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 can.
- the base body 10 with correspondingly designed bearing elements 26a, 26b (see FIG. 2) Must be provided, which allow the tool 1 between two legs 31 a, 31 b to insert the tool holder 30 and lock in this position can.
- the bearing elements 26a, 26b exist e.g. B. from a bore 27 made in the base body 10 through which a locking element 33 of the tool holder 30 can be inserted into the base body 1.
- the locking element 33 of the tool holder 30 consists z. B. from the in Figure 5 shown combination of a bolt 33a with a corresponding trained counterpart 33b, by tightening them accordingly configured actuator 35 of the bolt 33a Tool 1 can be locked in the tool holder 30.
- Handle 32 having tool holder 30 to facilitate in a fixed position can also be provided be that the base body 10 of the tool 1 acts as a positioning element Has all-round annular groove 28, in which only one in Figure 5 shown schematically, functioning as a complementary positioning element Teeth 36 of the tool holder 30 can be engaged.
- the tool 1 described by its universal applicability for a variety of joint contours and angle geometries of surfaces to be joined by the joint.
- the advantage is realized that the tool described 1st can be adapted by the user to a special joint configuration can by regrinding the corresponding area of the tool 1.
