Definitions

  • the invention relates to a handheld power tool according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 8.
  • a machine which has a sanding plate for receiving sanding sheets.
  • the sanding disc is a complex component that consists of a rigid disc, firmly connected to a flat cushion layer. This is always referred to below as an integrated intermediate cushion.
  • Such grinding plates are available in three common, different embodiments. The differences correspond to the three common types of sanding sheets: with a self-adhesive back, with a velor-coated back, with a central opening for a clamping screw.
  • sanding discs that can hold both sanding sheets with velor backing and sanding sheets with a central opening for a clamping screw.
  • Other sanding discs can accommodate sanding sheets with adhesive backing as well as sanding sheets with a central opening for a clamping screw.
  • All grinding discs have the common disadvantage that it is not possible to use the three common types of grinding discs on a single grinding disc.
  • the previous sanding pads with the integrated intermediate cushion have to be thrown away when they wear out
  • EP 112 405 a generic machine with a removable, cushioning, intermediate cushion is known, which probably protects the grinding plate against overheating due to working heat, but which only allows work with a very soft degree of hardness.
  • the hand tool according to the invention with the features of claim 1 and claim 8 has the advantage that all three types of grinding sheets can be used interchangeably with a single grinding plate.
  • a separate, replaceable intermediate cushion is now provided.
  • the new sanding disc only consists of a rigid disc with Velcro. The degree of hardness can thus be varied within a wide range between very hard and very soft.
  • the intermediate pad thermally insulates the sanding pad against the heat from the sanding sheet, the lifespan of the sanding pad is significantly increased - with considerable consequential savings.
  • the intermediate pad thermally insulates the sanding pad against the heat from the sanding sheet, the lifespan of the sanding pad is significantly increased - with considerable consequential savings.
  • sanding sheets with adhesive backing no longer have to be removed from the intermediate cushion when changing the sanding sheet, e.g. if a different grit is required. After removing the intermediate pad from the sanding pad, together with the respective sanding sheet, it can be put down together with the intermediate pad and used again.
  • the sanding plate can be equipped with the desired sanding paper by placing another intermediate cushion.
  • sanding sheets with adhesive backing could not be reused after they were removed from the sanding plate, since it was not possible to attach them to the sanding plate again. This is because the adhesive layer loses its adhesion when it comes into contact with grinding dust.
  • FIG. 1 shows an eccentric disc grinder with a separate intermediate cushion
  • FIG. 2 shows a separate intermediate cushion with an abrasive sheet with a velor back
  • FIG. 3 shows a separate intermediate cushion with an abrasive sheet with an adhesive back.
  • An eccentric disc grinder 1 shown in FIG. 1 with a handle 3 on its upper side with an on and off switch 5 carries in its housing 7 a motor (not shown in more detail) with an output spindle 9. This carries a threaded bore 11 in an end-sided square piece 10, suitable for an Allen screw 13. On the square piece 10 sits a sanding plate 15, held by the hexagon socket screw 13. The sanding plate 15 is centrally provided with a square hole 17 which fits over the square piece 10.
  • the grinding plate 15 On its free side, the grinding plate 15 is coated with a Velcro surface 19. This is assigned an intermediate cushion 21 with its first side 23, coated with a velor surface. The grinding plate 15 and the intermediate cushion 21 are provided with recesses 16, 24 for dust extraction.
  • the intermediate cushion 21 is provided with a central recess 22, into which the head of the hexagon socket screw 13 contacts without contact can protrude.
  • the second side 25 of the intermediate cushion 21 opposite the first side 23 is provided for receiving an abrasive sheet, not shown, which should rest against the second side 25 with its rear side and can be fixed by means of a Velcro fastener, adhesive surface or additional, central retaining screw.
  • An intermediate cushion 31 shown in FIG. 2 is provided on its first side 33 with a velor surface.
  • the intermediate cushion 31 can thus be attached to a grinding plate (not shown).
  • the intermediate cushion 31 is coated with a Velcro surface.
  • a sanding sheet 37 can be fixed to this with a velor back 39.
  • the intermediate pad 31 and the sanding sheet 21 are provided with recesses 16, 24 for dust extraction.
  • An intermediate cushion 41 shown in FIG. 3 is coated on its first side 43 with velor and can be attached to the Velcro surface of a sanding plate (not shown). On its second side 45, the intermediate cushion 41 is provided with a smooth, artificial leather-like layer. A sanding sheet 47 can be attached to this with its adhesive back 49. The intermediate pad 41 and the sanding sheet 47 are provided with recesses 44, 48 for dust extraction.
  • the mounting of the sanding plate 15, the intermediate pads 21, 31, 41 and the sanding sheets 37, 47 on the eccentric plate grinder is done in the following way: First, the sanding plate 15 with its square hole 17 is pushed over the square piece 10 of the output spindle 9. The hexagon socket screw 13 is screwed into the threaded bore 11 so that the grinding plate 15 sits on the output shaft 9 in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the intermediate cushion 21 is pressed with its first side 21 with a velor coating against the Velcro surface 19 and fixed thereon, that is to say held immovably and non-rotatably.
  • sanding sheets 37, 47 can be fastened with velor backs 39 or adhesive backs 49.
  • a sanding sheet with velor backing can also be attached directly to the Velcro surface 19 on the sanding plate 15. This is state of the art and corresponds to the greatest degree of hardness for the sanding sheet holder. If the desired degree of hardness is lower, the intermediate cushion 21, 31 or 41 is to be placed on the sanding plate 15 and then a corresponding sanding sheet 37, 47 is to be fixed thereon. If, for example, a sanding sheet 47 with adhesive back 49 fixed on the sanding plate 15 by means of an intermediate pad 41 is to be exchanged for a sanding sheet 37 with a velor back, this must be replaced together with the intermediate pad 41. All that is required is to pull the intermediate pad 41 together with the abrasive sheet 47 sitting on it from the sanding plate 15 and to replace it with the abrasive sheet 37 with the velor back 39.
  • the sanding sheet 47 was separated from the intermediate pad 41 and thus unusable. In most cases, the sanding sheet 47 tears when loosened, or sanding dust adheres to the free adhesive back in such a way that a sufficient adhesive effect on the intermediate pad 41 can no longer be achieved. In the case of an application of the invention, the sanding sheet 47 can thus remain on the intermediate pad 41 and can always be reused after being exchanged for other types of sanding sheet with the associated intermediate pad.
  • the intermediate cushions 21, 31, 41 can also be attached to previously conventional grinding plates with an integrated intermediate cushion.
  • the grinding wheel holder has a particularly low degree of hardness.
  • the intermediate cushion according to the invention is also Can be used in conjunction with additional devices for drills or angle grinders that are suitable for holding sanding sheets with velor backing.
  • the intermediate cushion used according to the invention consists of a thin, pliable disc, the material thickness of which is approximately 1/50 of the disc diameter.
  • Such an intermediate cushion could, for example, be a synthetic leather disc coated on one side with velor. This is particularly well suited for holding sanding sheets with adhesive backing.
  • Such a thin intermediate cushion which is provided with a Velcro coating on the synthetic leather layer side, could be advantageous for special uses for the use of sanding sheets with velor backing.
  • the arrangement of the recesses 16, 24 in the sanding plate 15 and in the intermediate cushion 21, 31, 41 on three different pitch circle diameters ensures the grinding dust extraction universally: the recesses 16, 24 fit the air passage openings of all known sanding sheets.
  • a sanding plate 150 is provided with a square hole 170 and on its free side additionally - in comparison to FIG. 1 - with elastic dowel pins 200 and coated with a Velcro surface 190.
  • the grinding plate 150 and the intermediate cushion 210 are provided with recesses 160, 240 for dust extraction.
  • the intermediate cushion 210 is provided with a central recess 220 into which the head of a hexagon socket screw, not shown, does not touch can protrude.
  • the second side 250 of the intermediate pad 210 opposite the first side 230 is provided for receiving an abrasive sheet (not shown), the back of which should rest against the second side 250 and can be fixed by means of a Velcro fastener, adhesive surface or additional, central retaining screw.
  • the intermediate cushion 210 is provided with fitting bores 260, into which the elastic fitting pins 200 of the grinding plate 150 fit, so that the recesses 160, 240 are aligned with one another when they are plugged together.
  • FIG. 5 shows an intermediate cushion 150 with recesses 240 and a Velcro coating 250, in the place of which an adhesive-friendly, smooth coating can also be arranged, to which a steel disc 600 with velor backing 620, or with adhesive back, if the intermediate cushion 150 carries an adhesive-friendly coating, - and is assigned with dowel pins 660.
  • the dowel pins 660 coincide mirror-symmetrically with respect to their position dimensions with two recesses 240 of the intermediate cushion 150, so that when the steel disk 600 is fastened to the intermediate cushion by means of a Velcro or adhesive connection, the dowel pins 660 sit in the two associated recesses 240.
  • the steel disk 600 can also be placed on the grinding plate 150, but this is not the subject of the invention.
  • the steel disk 600 resiliently clings to the surface. Due to the high spring elasticity, a dull immersion at the wallpaper joint is also possible. As a result of the rotary movement of the steel disk 600, the outer edge thereof is automatically sharpened when working. Because of the low speed of the sanding plate, the risk of injury for operators and the risk of damage, for example for gypsum substrates, is very low. The high impact frequency due to the eccentric movement with high eccentricity ensures particularly good work results with the steel disc 600 in connection with eccentric disc grinders.
  • the steel disc is provided with recesses for dust extraction, which are arranged mirror-symmetrically to the recesses 240, 160.
  • the steel disc is provided with dowel pins which correspond to fitting bores located outside the recesses for dust extraction on the grinding plate or the intermediate cushion, so that the steel disc can only be operated with the grinding discs or intermediate cushions provided for this purpose.
