  • the connecting layer 405 thereby provides a connecting surface 406 which is substantially remote from the working surface 401.
  • the connection layer 405 is formed so that the connection surface 406 is substantially permeable to air and dust in a direction substantially perpendicular to the connection surface 406.
  • the impeller 16 generates a suction air stream 31, the air laden with grinding dust along the direction 308 of the working surface 401, through the air and dust-permeable carrier layer 403 sucks into the air and dust-permeable connection view 405 and from there into the air and dust-permeable attachment layer 302 of the holding body 300 according to the invention in the support body 301 sucks.
  • the suction air flow 31 initially runs essentially parallel to the direction 308, ie almost perpendicularly through the carrier layer 403, the common layer of connecting layer 405 and fastening layer 302 and the support surface 301.
  • the suction air flow 31 follows the above-described paths, to the description of which reference is made.
  • the abrasive 400 according to Fig. 6a, 6b further comprises an optional, central bore 407, which in particular with a holding body 300, which has at least one opening into the central bore 322 fresh air line 334, may be advantageous.
  • the abrasive 400 according to the invention can also be advantageously used on a holding body 30 according to the prior art, since here, too, relative to the dust extraction openings 29 in the holding body 30 can advantageously remain unnoticed when applying an abrasive 400.
  • the abrasive 400 merely has to have a connecting layer 405 with connecting means 404, which can cooperate with fastening means of the holding body 30 in such a way that the abrasive 400 adheres to the fastening surface of the holding body 30, advantageously removably adheres.
  • an already known flexible abrasive 400 ' which has a plurality of over the work surface 401' distributed, the abrasive 400 ' piercing suction holes 408 ', are advantageously used on a holding body 300 according to the invention.
  • An alignment of the suction holes 408 'relative to the mounting surface 305 is advantageously without effect on a suction when attaching such an abrasive 400'.
  • the abrasive 400 ' only has to have a connecting layer 405' with connecting means 404 ', which can cooperate with the fastening means 306 of the holding body 300 according to the invention such that the abrasive 400' adheres to the mounting surface 305, advantageously releasably adheres.
  • a number of further grinding machines with suction devices are known to the person skilled in the art, both with substantially circular holding body 300 - for example orbital sander and polishing machines - and those with polygonal, in particular Have substantially triangular, rectangular or trapezoidal holding body 300a.
  • the person skilled in the art will be able to transfer the disclosed emptiness with ease to a grinding machine with polygonal, in particular substantially triangular, rectangular or trapezoidal holding body 300a.
  • An advantageous, inventive deflection of the air flow through the holding body 300a can also be achieved by simple modification of the holding body geometry for these holding bodies 300a, without having to change parts of the described embodiments that are essential to the invention. Such holding body 300a should therefore be explicitly included in the application.
