Definitions
- the invention relates to a matrix needle printhead of the hinged armature type with a plurality of systems, each consisting of a pair of magnetic yoke legs, an electromagnetic coil, a hinged armature and a pressure needle, also with an electromagnetic coil carrier, which is made of sintered or investment casting, and together with a base plate and the magnetic yoke leg pairs, a one-piece component forms.
- Such a matrix needle printhead is e.g. known from DE-A1-34 12 855 or from US-A1-4,230,038.
- the known solutions have pairs of U-shaped magnet yokes.
- the yoke legs are rectangular in cross section.
- Such a design takes up space and space.
- the problem of position and shape errors arises during manufacture, and in the case of sintered parts or investment castings, filling defects occur in the production tool.
- Such filling defects lead to irregularities in the magnetic flux.
- the magnetic flux depends among other things. on the density of the material. Calibration problems of the workpiece also arise. All difficulties are further increased as the number of systems increases. With 18 or 24 systems and more systems (assuming a constant nominal diameter), it is difficult to assign the anchors laterally to the magnet yoke legs or to guide the anchors.
- the object of the invention is to propose such an anchor guide, in which the individual hinged anchors are mounted in an extremely precise manner, in particular for low-number systems (such as nine needles) without loss of magnetic energy.
- the electromagnetic coil carrier radially outside individual magnetic yoke legs has, which are each aligned with a needle application point or needle attachment point, that the radially inner magnetic yokes are formed into a closed, circular or polygonal ring and that the folding anchors are associated with the pivoting movements of the guide means, which interact with receiving means on the closed ring .
- the magnetic flux is guided precisely and optimally by the closed radially inner ring, and the hinged anchors are supported very precisely by the radially inner ring, which can be produced very precisely, because the receiving means can be positioned very precisely on the closed ring.
- this radially inner, closed ring can also be used for precise positioning of the receiving means, in that the radially inner, closed, circular or polygonal ring has recesses as receiving means, into which guide means for the hinged anchors engage.
- the exact positioning of the hinged anchors while observing economically producible tolerances can be further improved by projecting into the recesses of the radially inner closed ring shape-like projections which protrude with a boundary side in pairs of incisions of mutually adjacent hinged anchors and with a section projecting above the hinged anchors Engage recesses in the radially inner closed ring.
- One measure for optimizing the magnetic flux is that the width of the closed, circular or polygonal ring is adapted to the required magnetic flux.
- the hinged anchor type matrix needle printhead (Fig. 1) has e.g. nine, twelve, 18 or 24 needles 1.
- Each pressure needle 1 is assigned a pair of magnetic yoke legs 2, an electromagnetic coil 3 and a hinged armature 4, the electromagnetic coil 3 being plugged onto a radially outer magnetic yoke leg 2a.
- Nine such systems are shown.
- the pressure needles 1 are guided in a pressure needle guide housing 5 by means of individual guide walls 6, the bores 7 of which define the arcuate course from a needle engagement point 8 of a pressure needle head 8a and the folding anchor 4 to a mouthpiece 9, the mouthpiece 9 being at a distance from the pressure abutment, not shown Needle stroke lies with the record carrier lying on the pressure abutment.
- the needle engagement point 8 can also consist of a needle attachment point 8b, at which the hinged anchor 4 is welded to the pressure needle 2. In the mouthpiece 9, all nine printing needles 1 are guided one above the other to form a vertical needle gap and stored.
- the pressure needle guide housing 5 forms in the area of the hinged armature 4 a shell 5a corresponding to the outer diameter (nominal diameter) of the matrix needle print head, which shell is also equipped with special functions or features.
- a guide bush 10 in the center of the shell 5a, which forms an abutment for a compression spring 11, which is assigned to each pressure needle 1. Further features and functions of the shell 5a will be described later.
- a rear housing 12 which accommodates the systems and is made of plastic or aluminum (magnetically non-conductive materials), centers a one-piece electromagnetic coil carrier 13 made of sintered or investment casting.
- the one-piece, very precise and high-quality electromagnetic coil carrier 13 is magnetically insulated by electrically non-conductive fillers 14 within the rear housing 12.
- the housing 12 made of aluminum is also provided with a central, heat-resistant, damped washer 15 on which the radially inner armature arms 4a lie in a basic or rest position.
- the hinged anchors 4 are fixed to the radially inner arm 4a by this damping disc 15 and pivotally supported approximately centrally by an elastic damping ring 16 with a square cross section and by the radially inner magnet yoke leg of the pair of magnet yokes 2.
- the one-piece electromagnetic coil carrier 13 forms the individual magnetic yoke legs 2a radially on the outside and the associated radially inner magnetic yoke legs form a closed ring 17 which is circular or polygonal and shaped according to the number of systems.
- the folding anchors 4 perform pivoting movements in order to give the printing needles 1 a lifting movement. Such stroke movements (forward and return stroke are approximately 0.3 mm) are carried out with a frequency of 2000 to 3000 Hz.
- guide means 18 are required, which interact with receiving means 19 (FIG. 2) on the closed ring 17.
- the receiving means 19 consist of depressions 20, into which protrusions 21 of similar shape protrude as guide means 18 to the depressions 20.
- the projections 21 have a boundary side 21a and a boundary side 21b.
- One of the two boundary sides 21a and 21b protrudes in pairs in cuts 4b, 4c of the hinged anchors 4.
- the projections 21 also protrude beyond the hinged anchors 4 with sections 21c in these cuts 4b, 4c. With these sections 21c, the projections 21 engage in the recesses 20 of the radially inner closed ring 17.
- the projections 21 center both the hinged anchors 4, thus forming guide means 18 which are positioned on their pivoting movements and which cooperate with the receiving means 19 on the closed ring 17.
- the hinged anchors 4 are additionally guided in the region of the radially inner arm 4a by means of cams 22.
- the shell 5a is moved from the inverted position shown in Fig. 3 (for a better view) to the operating position shown in Fig. 4, i.e. placed in the inverted position on the ring 17 in Fig. 2.
- the direction of the course of the printing needles 1 in FIGS. 2 and 3 serves for orientation during this placement process.
- connecting lines 23 are led through the filling compound 14 to a printed circuit board 24.
- the circuit board 24 is protected by a cover 25.
- the pressure needle guide housing 5 or the shell 5a and the rear housing 12 are held together by several screws 26 with nuts 27.
- the width 17a of the ring 17 (FIG. 4) serves as an adjustment measure for the optimization of the magnetic flux in order to work with the most favorable magnetic saturation.
- the entire matrix print head shown in FIG. 1 is placed on a print head carriage by means of a pair of dowel pins 28.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1 einen axialen Längsschnitt durch den Matrixnadeldruckkopf,
