Definitions

  • the invention relates to a flat knitting machine with a needle selection device which can be moved over the needle beds, knitting needles arranged in needle channels of the needle beds and selection beaters connected to the knitting needles in the needle channels or successive work bumpers and selection bumpers which cooperate with the needle selection device.
  • Each actuation of the pushers requires a force, the size of which depends on the weight of the pushers. So that the bumpers do not jump when moving through the selection lock parts, they are braked to a greater or lesser extent.
  • Such a braking effect includes to achieve by bending the pusher sideways from its longitudinal axis. It is important that the spring characteristic of the bend runs flat, so that the braking effect of the bend on the bumpers is not hard, but soft.
  • a further measure for avoiding the bouncing of the bumpers is to make the lift slopes of the selection lock parts flat, particularly in the case of fast-running flat knitting machines, so that the acceleration of the bumpers can be kept correspondingly low.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a flat knitting machine of the type described in the introduction, in which the pushers have different elasticities in the machine, as well as uniform elasticity in the braking force and the same weights and thus the same skidding effect.
  • the width of the working ram and / or selection ram is smaller than the width of the needle channels, and that in the needle channels extending spacers substantially over the length of the ram and / or selection ram with a width equal to the difference of Width of the needle channels and the width of the ram and / or ram are fixed at least on one side of the ram.
  • the width of the work and selection rams can be selected independently of the fineness of the flat knitting machine and the width of its needle channels and thus determine its weight.
  • the spacer boards are fixed in the needle channels and do not make a decisive contribution to the movement and braking behavior of the pushers.
  • the width of the working rams and / or selection rams is advantageously uniform and the width of the spacer plates correspondingly different for different finenesses of the flat knitting machine. This makes it possible to achieve ramblers and / or ramblers of constant weights and thus uniform braking and jumping behavior over a wide range of different finenesses.
  • ramblers and / or ramblers of constant weights and thus uniform braking and jumping behavior over a wide range of different finenesses.
  • butt joints of only a single thickness are to be provided, and the different needle channel widths are compensated for by the fixed spacer plates.
  • the surfaces of the spacer boards expediently run in and below the surfaces of the needle beds, below the surfaces where holding rails for holding knitting needles and pushers are provided in the needle beds.
  • a single spacer plate is advantageously inserted into the needle channel along the length of the working ram and the selection ram. This facilitates both the manufacture and the insertion and fixing of the spacer boards in the needle channel.
  • Each spacer plate is expediently fixed in the direction of movement of the working pushers and / or selection pushers by a rail running transversely to the needle channels in the needle bed.
  • the spacer plate is advantageously designed such that it partially engages over it in the area of the working or selection ram.
  • the spacer boards are expediently inserted only on one side of the work pushers and / or selection pushers.
  • the spacer plates can also be inserted on both sides of the ram and / or ram, which can be particularly advantageous in the case of coarse subtleties of the flat knitting machine.
  • the width of the knitting needles is expediently 2.2 mm
  • the width of the working rams and / or selection rams is 1 mm
  • the width of the spacer boards is 1.2 mm.
  • a needle bed 1 of a flat knitting machine has needle channels 2 arranged and designed in accordance with the fineness of the flat knitting machine.
  • a knitting needle 3 and then a ram 4 are arranged in each needle channel.
  • the ram 4 releasably abuts the knitting needle 3 and partially overlaps it.
  • a selection ram 5, which is detachably abutting the ram, is arranged in the needle channel 2 behind the ram.
  • Pusher 4 and selection pusher 5 can also be combined into a one-piece selection pusher.
  • the knitting needles 3, working ram 4 and selection ram 5 are held in the needle channels 2 of the needle bed 1 by rails 6, 7, 8 running transversely to the needle channels 2.
  • a spacer plate 9 is inserted which extends essentially over the length of the working plunger 4 and selection plunger 5.
  • the spacer plate 9 is hatched vertically in Fig. 1 for better lifting. Due to the rail 7 running transversely to the needle channels 2, which engages in a corresponding rectangular groove of the spacer plate 9, the spacer plate 9 is fixed in a positive manner in the direction of movement of the working plunger 4 and the selection plunger 5 and thus takes part in the back and forth movements of the working plunger 4 and the selection plunger 5 under the influence of the needle selection device, not shown.
  • the width of the ram 4 and ram 5 can now be selected so that it corresponds, for example, to the width of a needle channel 2 for the finest desired fineness of a flat knitting machine. For coarser subtleties of the flat knitting machine, the width difference between the needle channel width and the ram width is then compensated for by the correspondingly selected width of the fixed spacer plates 9, which do not participate in the ram movement. The weight of the ram 4 and ram 5 can thus always remain the same regardless of the pitch or fineness of the flat knitting machine.
  • spacer plate 9 which extends essentially over the entire length of the working plunger 4 and the selection plunger 5
  • two spacing boards arranged one behind the other, each essentially over the length of the working plunger 4 and essentially over the length of the Range 5 extend.
  • a spacer plate 9 is shown inserted into the needle channel 2 on one side of the working ram 4 and the selection ram 5.
  • the needle channel 2 is 2.2 mm wide with a fineness E3 of the flat knitting machine.
  • the knitting needle 3 has a width of 2.2 mm, and the working rams 4 and selection rams 5 arranged behind the knitting needle 3 are made 1 mm thick.
  • the weight of the working pushers 4 and 5 will only be about 45% based on the weight of conventional pushers with a thickness of 2.2 mm. In accordance with this reduction in weight, the working pushers 4 and selection pushers 5 will jump less strongly at the start of the movement in cooperation with the needle selection device.
