Definitions
- the invention relates to a door leaf which is provided with ventilation openings for the passage of air between the space on the outside of the door leaf in the closed state and the space adjacent to the inside of the door leaf.
- Gates of the type in question here with ventilation openings for air exchange, especially in rooms which otherwise have no ventilation, such as garages in particular, can have all possible structures.
- gates with a door leaf that can be moved in the vertical direction are preferred, and here again those with single and multi-part door leaf designs that can be moved overhead.
- an elastic seal is often arranged on the lower edge, which engages when the door leaf is moved into the closed position at the bottom of the door opening and prevents dirt from entering the garage in the event of a corresponding wind.
- such a strip can serve to prevent an uncontrolled large air gap between the lower end face of the door leaf and the floor.
- the simplest version of the trough leaves of the type in question can consist of a sheet metal that is provided with shape-stabilizing bends in the edge area, but it can also be multi-layered door leaves, for example outside and inside of sheet metal with foamed interior or made of wood and wood-like materials manufactured door leaves, the latter also in the form of frame structures, between which thin-walled closed or glazed fields are arranged.
- the mouth of the ventilation openings in the outside of the door leaf initially results in the disadvantage of a relatively complex design, which is necessary because of the need for rain to enter and, depending on the type of door, requires different design efforts.
- the ventilation openings appearing on the outside of the door or their borders not only have to meet the technical requirements placed on them, but also taste aspects and must therefore be designed accordingly, the fact of the opening of the ventilation openings in the outer surface being very general the freedom of design is significantly impaired by their appearance.
- the invention is based on the object of designing a door leaf with ventilation openings in such a way that, in addition to a maximum degree of freedom in the design of the outer surface, a particularly simple manufacture and design of the opening edge is possible.
- the ventilation openings are arranged in the lower end area of the closed door in such a way that they do not appear on the outside of the door leaf and at the same time are covered by the lower outside end edge of the door leaf, so that they do not appear on the outside of the door leaf and are also protected against rain due to this cover.
- the ventilation openings are preferably made in the end wall facing the floor, in the form of openings, the edge of which lies in the end wall, and the can therefore be produced in the simplest way, for example by stamping. If a seal is provided on this lower end wall, this is arranged in an area facing away from the outside of the door leaf, while the ventilation openings are formed in the area of the end wall adjoining the lower end edge of the outside of the door leaf.
- the procedure is preferably such that the lower end wall facing the floor in the closed position of the door leaf looks upwards as viewed from the inside is tapered towards, in particular in a stepped configuration, and that a bar provided in the lower end area on the inside of the door leaf projects this inside downwards projecting into the tapered area and there has the ventilation openings.
- the ventilation openings can be made as simple openings, for example by punching, without any consideration of rain and the like.
- a possibly provided seal is arranged in the area below the ventilation openings in such a way that the space below the outside lower end edge of the door leaf opens into the ventilation openings via the space created by the taper, without the seal being arranged correspondingly far from the outside of the door leaf to be hindered.
- the ventilation openings preferably extend over the entire longitudinal region of the lower end wall of the door or of the door member.
- the first exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 shows a door leaf 1 formed from a simple sheet metal, the sheet metal extending in the door leaf plane directly forming the outside 2.
- the sheet metal of the door leaf 1 is bent at a right angle inwards from the door leaf plane to form an end edge 6 which delimits the outside 2.
- the bent from the door leaf level leg 7 of the sheet forms the bottom of the door opening in the closed state of the door leaf - as shown - facing end wall 5 of the door leaf 1, which in a first area 10 adjoining the outside 2 or the end edge 6 a series of ventilation openings 11 and then jumps back when viewed upwards and merges into a further region 9, which is located approximately perpendicularly to the outside 2 and is distant from the latter, below which one Seal 8 is arranged.
- the region 9 merges at its end region opposite the outer side 2 into an edge which extends upwards parallel to the outer side 2 and which, with legs of similar design arranged on the other side edges of the door leaf or of the door leaf member, spans a plane which acts as the inner side 3 of door leaf 1 is to be addressed.
- a profile - for example an aluminum profile - is used, which is connected to a web 27 extending parallel to the edge 26, for example by screw connections, and two are directed towards one another
- Has retaining strips 13 which extend approximately in the plane of the area 10 of the end wall 5 and delimit a cavity 14 of the profile 12 located above.
- the seal 8 which is provided as an elastic hollow bead with lips directed obliquely outwards at its lower ends, has in its upper region a fixing profile 15 which is embedded in the cavity 14 and comprises the retaining strips 13 via corresponding groove-shaped recesses.
- the seal 8 is held on the profile 12 and extends with it in the longitudinal direction of the end wall 5 the lower limit of the door leaf towards the bottom of the door opening and closes the gap between the end edge 6 and this floor when - as shown - the door leaf is in the closed position.
- the ventilation openings 11 provided in the area 10 of the end wall 5 are as - for example, by Die-cut holes made in this end wall are not visible from the outside and are covered by the outside end edge 6 of the door leaf against rain.
- the arrow shown in FIG. 1 shows an air flow through the ventilation openings 11 from the space adjacent to the outside 2 of the door leaf 1 on the inside 3 thereof.
- the ventilation openings 11 are formed as elongated holes which extend in the longitudinal direction of the end wall 5 and are provided in a row in a row in the area 10 of the wall 5. This row of elongated holes preferably extends over the entire longitudinal extent of the end wall 5 of the door leaf 1.
- Figure 3 shows an embodiment of a door leaf or a lower door leaf member of a door leaf 1 in a solid design, ie it consists not only of a sheet, but of a laminated body or here made of wood, which has a clear distance between the outside 2 and the inside 3 fills out.
- the end wall 5 facing the bottom of the door opening to be closed in the closed state of the door leaf is tapered as seen from the outside, lower, approximately horizontally running end edge 6, here in the form of an oblique step such that seen from the outside 2 to the inside 3 a tapering space 16 formed upwards by this taper.
- a reinforcement strip designated overall by 17, is attached, which ensures that the lower end area 4 does not sag downwards when the door leaf 1 is open, ie when the door leaf 1 lies approximately horizontally under the ceiling.
- the Reinforcing strip 17 has an approximately U-shaped profile, the web 22 located between the two legs 21 in its upper section adjacent to the inside 3 of the door leaf 1 has a series of bores 19 arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the end wall 5, through which bolts 20 are guided, with which the reinforcing bar 17 is screwed to the wooden gate leaf 1.
- the web 22 of this U-profile protrudes beyond the lower edge of the inner side 3 formed by the tapering area 16 and overlaps the tapering area 16. In this overlapping area 18, the ventilation openings 11 are provided in the web, as simple openings without special edge formation.
- a fixing formation 23 is then provided on the reinforcing strip 17, which has two holding strips 25 directed towards one another below a cavity 24, which are encompassed by a fixing profile 15 of a seal 8, which in a similar manner as in the embodiment shown in Figures 1 and 2 is formed and fixed to the reinforcing bar.
- FIG. 4 shows that the ventilation openings are formed similar to the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2.
- An arrow in FIG. 3 shows the air passage through the openings 11.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1 einen vertikalen Teilschnitt durch den im Schließzustand unteren Bereich eines Torblattes bzw. des untersten Gliedes eines solchen, das hinsichtlich der Torblattdicke leidlich aus einem Blech besteht, das zumindest im unteren Abschlußbereich zu einer Abschlußwandung abgewinkelt ist;
- Figur 2 einen Schnitt nach der Linie II-II in Figur 1;
- Figur 3 einen Vertikalschnitt durch den im Schließzustand unteren Bereich eines Torblattes bzw. Torblattgliedes, das massiv, insbesondere aus Holz, ausgebildet ist;
