Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a sieve-like shaving foil for an electrically operated dry shaving apparatus with elevations on its surface facing the skin.
- Such shaving foils have the advantage that they slide easily on the skin even if it is oily or moist. This is not only perceived as pleasant during shaving, but it also significantly improves the quality of the shave.
- a method for producing a shaving foil with elevations for an electrically operated dry shaving apparatus in which a metal plate is covered with the pattern of the perforated field and then a metal intermediate foil at the points corresponding to the grid of the sieve, the thickness of which Hole edge elevations are correspondingly greater than the thickness of the perforated field cover, are built up galvanically, and in which finely divided solid particles are applied to the surface of the intermediate metal foil and only then is the shaving foil galvanically deposited in a manner known per se and is removed from the intermediate metal foil by tearing.
- the known method has the disadvantage that elevations are formed not only on the surface of the shaving foil facing the skin, but also in the region of the hole edge. This can result in undercuts, which on the one hand make the tearing of the shaving foil considerably more difficult, and on the other hand often result in a negative cutting angle at the cutting edges of the hole edge elevations, which adversely affects the cutting behavior.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method for producing a screen-like shaving foil for an electrically operated dry shaving apparatus with elevations on its surface facing the skin, which eliminates the disadvantages mentioned, by eliminating undercuts and negative cutting angles at the cutting points of the hole edge elevations and this enables an even more economical and precise production of shaving foils in large quantities with improved cutting behavior.
- the invention solves the problem by a method for producing a screen-like shaving foil for an electrically operated dry shaving apparatus with elevations on its surface facing the skin by covering an electrically conductive plate with the pattern of the perforated field and then galvanically building up an intermediate metal foil on the screen corresponding to the grid of the screen Places, the thickness of which is greater than the thickness of the perforated field cover corresponding to the hole edge elevations, and galvanic deposition of the shear foil on the metal intermediate foil and removal from the metal intermediate foil by tearing, whereby according to the invention the electrically conductive plate is provided with elevations of less height than the thickness of the perforated field cover.
- the electrically conductive plate can be a metal plate; but it can also be a plate made of a non-electrically conductive material, the surface of which is designed to be electrically conductive.
- the plate can be provided with the elevations before the covering with the pattern of the perforated field, for example by sandblasting, etching, non-cutting deformation.
- the metal intermediate foil is deposited in a manner known per se; this has elevations only in the area of the height growth of the elevations on the plate and not in the hole edge area; this prevents the formation of undercuts on the shaving foil, which is now deposited in a manner known per se, and there are also no negative cutting angles at the cutting points of the hole edge elevations, the elevations are at the desired locations.
- a brass plate is sandblasted to a roughness of a maximum of 15 11m. Then a photoresist layer 25 11m thick is applied and exposed and developed according to the desired shaving foil geometry through a template. Then a firmly adhering layer of a maximum of 10 jim is built up in a nickel bath. The passivating layer is then passivated and the metal intermediate foil, the thickness of which is greater than the thickness of the perforated area cover corresponding to the hole edge elevations, is built up in a non-leveling nickel bath, and the shaving foil is electrodeposited thereon after passivation in a slightly leveling nickel bath. The intermediate metal foil and the shaving foil are pulled off together and then the shaving foil is obtained by separation from the intermediate metal foil.
- a brass plate is coated with a thickness of 25 tim with a photopolymer film, exposed according to the shear film geometry and developed.
- a layer of nickel and silicon carbide with a thickness of 15 11 m is galvanically adhered from a silicon carbide containing a nickel bath containing a grain size of 5 to 10 ⁇ m, passivated and the metal intermediate foil, the thickness of which increases the perforations correspondingly larger than that.
- the thickness of the perforated field cover is applied galvanically from a nickel bath.
- the shaving foil is deposited on the metal intermediate foil from a slightly leveling nickel bath. The shaving foil is obtained by separating it from the intermediate metal foil.
