Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski with a torsion-resistant core insert in the manner of a composite body consisting of at least one plate-shaped longitudinal belt and a zigzag or undulating profile, the profile and the longitudinal belt being connected to one another under line contact running transversely to the longitudinal direction of the ski and the profile being embedded in elastic full material .
- the flexural rigidity and torsional strength are of particular importance for the skiing properties of a ski, the flexural rigidity sliding properties, smooth running, adaptability to bumps and the like. The like. Influenced and the torsional strength is decisive especially for the prevention of the ski when using edges. In order to be able to influence these properties, which are so important for the behavior of the ski, there are various types of core inserts for the ski, and composite bodies with a zigzag or wave profiles inserted in the form of a truss between the upper and lower flange are already known ( CH-A 575769)).
- the invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these deficiencies and creating a ski of the type described above, the core insert of which allows the largely independent selection of the torsional and bending properties of the ski without any special design effort.
- the invention solves this problem in that the profile is placed on a base plate provided as a single longitudinal belt and is rigidly connected to it. Due to the combination of the profile with a single longitudinal belt and the connection points between the profile and the belt that are limited to transverse lines, a composite body with high torsional rigidity and little impaired bending softness is created, so that the core insert desired for ski construction is obtained in a simple manner.
- the torsional stiffness can be varied within wide limits and adapted to the desired conditions by appropriate choice of the profile, by varying the wall thicknesses, the profile profile, the profile height, the profile structure, the material, and the achievable bending softness can be achieved by the design of the Influence the base plate and the properties of the chosen filling material within large areas.
- Torsional stiffness and softness are largely independent of each other, since it makes the connection along transverse lines between the profile and the base plate barely noticeable with regard to the bending properties of the composite body, but the profile with its individual Porfiler elevations, but through this connection together with the base plate, forms bending-resistant associations oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction of the ski, which ensure a correspondingly high torsional stiffness and an optimal possibility of adapting the strength course over the entire length of the ski.
- the filling material has a vibration-damping effect and allows the absorption or compensation of the profile movements that occur during bending.
- the core insert according to the invention thus allows the construction of a particularly torsion-resistant ski even with a high degree of flexibility and offers optimal conditions for ski construction.
- the base plate and / or the profile is broken through like a grid.
- This breakthrough of the profile or the base plate not only saves material and weight, but also allows the combination with additional strand material to increase the flexural strength, the strand material being able to be passed through the perforation over the length of the ski.
- These openings can be made as desired, e.g. be punched, but the profile can also be formed from the start from appropriately perforated material or mesh material.
- a core insert (1) which consists of a base plate (2) and a profile (3) in the manner of a composite body.
- the profile is zigzag-shaped in the longitudinal direction of the ski and rigidly connected to the base plate (2) along the edges (4) which rest on the base plate (2) and represent the mutual lines of contact, so that this insert (1) allows the construction of a ski , which is correspondingly flexible but torsionally rigid to the desired extent.
- the profile (3) is embedded in an elastic filling material in the ski, which on the one hand can influence the bending properties itself and on the other hand can absorb the profile movements that occur during bending, or a damping effect for bending vibrations is achieved.
- the torsional strength properties can be adapted to a wide variety of conditions and requirements by appropriate design and dimensioning of the profile (3), and these strength properties can also be varied according to the ski length by suitable changes in the profile profile.
