Definitions

  • the invention relates to a hand-held labeling device for printing and dispensing self-adhesive labels adhering to a carrier tape, with a printing table arranged in the housing, against which a printing unit provided with adjustable types can be moved, and with a coloring arm loaded by a return spring, which has a rotatable transfer roller at its swing-out end for inking in contact with the set printing types, the printing unit pushing the transfer roller against the action of the return spring out of the movement path when moving against the printing table, and wherein the transfer roller interacts with a supply roller which is parallel to the axis of the transfer roller Axle is freely rotatable on a roll holder.
  • Such a hand labeling device is known from DE-AS 26 39 927.
  • This known hand-held labeling device has a return spring which holds the inking rocker in the inking position and a roll holder which is mounted on the inking rocker.
  • the roll holder protrudes beyond the front edge of the device.
  • a inking device with a transfer roller and a ink roller for a hand stamp is also known from British patent specification 322 263.
  • the transfer roller is arranged on a roller holder which is pivotally mounted on the inking arm about an axis parallel to the axis of the inking arm and is acted upon by a pressure spring which is supported against the inking arm.
  • the inking rocker is pivotally arranged on the printing unit, its pivot axis makes the stroke of the printing wark with it, for this purpose it is guided in a longitudinal guide.
  • the inking rocker is connected to the frame of the hand stamp via a driver, so that the movement of the inking rocker is inevitably mechanically coupled to the movement of the printing unit.
  • the two rollers, the transfer roller and the ink roller, are also mechanically coupled. These rollers are rotated further by a driver arm when the printing unit is started up.
  • the known hand stamp is complex and prone to failure, and unfavorable in terms of assembly and maintenance. It is also time-consuming to replace the ink roller, a precise contact between ink roller and transfer roller is not guaranteed, so that the printing types are not always inked evenly regardless of the environmental conditions.
  • the invention is therefore based on a hand labeling device according to DE-AS 26 39 927 the task, while maintaining the interacting with the transfer roller, interchangeable supply roll and the associated advantages of an improved print intensity for the requirements of automatic readers and a higher number of printable labels to to change the ink roller, no part of the inking device protrudes beyond the outer contour of the device during the printing process.
  • the wedge-shaped space under the printing unit is used in the basic position by the transfer roller and the ink supply roller.
  • the supply and transfer roller are in front of the printing unit, the connecting axis transfer roller-ink supply roller being pivoted by approximately 90 °.
  • This pivoting is essentially caused by the sliding of the roll holder, additional components such as a torsion spring being unnecessary.
  • the roller holder which is pivotally mounted about the axis of the transfer roller, is successively supported or guided by projections on guide rails of the housing or projections of the inking rocker, and by its underside on an axis connecting the side walls of the housing. This makes it possible to keep the front of the device closed, which also results in increased fall protection.
  • This hand-held labeling device has the advantage that the supply roll arranged on the roll holder is arranged above the transfer roll during the printing process.
  • the roll holder does not swing forward beyond the outer contour of the device, but remains within the outer contour. Otherwise, the supply roll could be slightly damaged.
  • the roll holder has on both sides of the supply roll side walls, on which arms are formed with open bearing eyes, the axis of the transfer roller engaging in these bearing eyes.
  • a particularly simple mounting of the roller holder on the axis of the transfer roller is ensured. Since the roll holder is mounted in open bearing eyes on the axis of the transfer roller, it can be removed from the axis of the transfer roller with a simple pull.
  • the coloring arm is attached to the Transfer roller swung out to the front, whereby the roller holder mounted on the axis of the transfer roller is also pushed forward.
  • these guide rails arranged on the side walls of the housing likewise determine the movement of the roll holder, so that the path of the roll holder during the printing process is determined by the movement of the inking rocker and the arrangement of the guide rail.
  • the projections arranged on the roll holder are designed as pins with a semicircular cross section projecting axially beyond the side walls of the roll holder.
  • the curved side of the semicircle points downward, so that the pins slide with their underside, which is semicircular in cross section, along the guide rails. This ensures that the roll holder can slide freely on the guide rails.
  • Each of the projections is advantageously formed approximately at the height of the respective slot on the relevant side wall of the roll holder and the flat surface of each projection is flush with the lower inner wall of the slot.
  • a locking lug is formed on each side wall of the roll holder, which protrudes beyond the lower inner wall of the slot.
  • the axis of the supply roll is prevented from sliding out of the slot by the detent protruding beyond the inner wall of the slot. With a little pressure, however, it is easily possible to extend the axis beyond the catch.
  • the protrusions of the roll holder preferably slide with their underside along the upper sides of the guide rails during the printing process.
  • arms with open bearing eyes are formed on the coloring arm and the roller holder has side walls, on which pins are formed, which engage in the bearing eyes of the coloring arm.
  • a particularly simple mounting of the roll holder on the inking rocker is ensured.
  • the pegs formed on the roller holder lie in the bearing eyes of the coloring arm and are taken along with the roller holder when the inking arm moves. Since the projections of the roll holder lie on the counter-projections of the inking rocker 2, the path of the roll holder is limited at the bottom.
  • the pins are preferably designed as outwardly pointing hollow pins, in the middle of which the axis of the transfer roller is mounted.
  • the projections of the roller holder and the inking rocker are preferably shaped as shoulders.
  • the projections of the roll holder have flat bearing surfaces which touch the flat support surfaces of the counter-projections of the inking rocker.
  • a particularly simple guidance of the roll holder is ensured by the inking rocker. The contacting surfaces of the respective projections guide the roller holder during the movement of the inking rocker.
  • the underside of the roll holder is designed as a trough which has grooves and guide surfaces on its outside in part.
  • This embodiment ensures that the paint roller cannot be touched unintentionally.
  • the grooves prevent the operator's finger from sliding off.
  • the guide surfaces on the outside serve to promote the tilting of the roll holder during the printing process.
  • a grip strip is preferably formed on the side of the roll holder adjacent to the supply roll. This handle bar makes it easy to remove the roll holder from the device.
  • FIG. 1 shows part of a manually operated labeling device, in the housing of which a printing table 52 with an elastic support 56 is arranged.
