Description
DEUTSCHES
Erdgasfelder liegen häufig ferne von den industriellen Erdgasverbrauchsgebieten. Um jene auszuwerten,
muß das Erdgas über große Strecken befördert werden. Insbesondere bei Transozeanbeförderung sind
Erdgasleitungen untunlich. Es ist bekannt, in solchen Fällen das Erdgas an der Sonde zu verflüssigen und
in verflüssigtem Zustand in Tanks bzw. in Tankern zu befördern.
Es ist bekannt, dabei nach Möglichkeit die durch den Sondendruck bedingte Druckenergie zur Verminderung
der Verflüssigungsarbeit heranzuziehen. Aber selbst dann, wenn das Erdgas unter hohem
Sondendruck verfügbar ist, sind nach dem bekannten Verfahren am entlegenen Erdgasvorkommen große,
wartungsbedürftige Maschinenanlagen erforderlich, für einen beispielsweisen Stundendurchsatz von
100000 cbm des Erdgases in gasförmigem Zustand, Kompressoren von etwa 801OOOPS mit entsprechenden
Hallen und mit einer Siedlung für das Bedienungspersonal. Eine solche Anlage arbeitet kontinuierlich
in ortsfeste Flüssigkeitsbehälter. Tanks bzw. Tanker befördern aus ihnen Flüssigerdgas zu den
fernen Verbrauchern und fahren sodann leer bzw. mit Ballast zum Erdgasvorkommen zurück. Bei diesem
Verfahren erfordern der Transport, die Verflüssigung und die Wiederverdampfung etwa ein Viertel des
Erdgasumsatzes zur Deckung der Energie und der Verluste. Lästig, ja gefährlich ist auch etwaiges Eindringen
von Luft in die während der Rückfahrt leeren Tanks, die wegen der Tiefkälte ihrer Nutzfracht auch
nicht mit üblichem Wasserballast gefüllt werden können.
Man erzielt eine erhebliche Verbesserung der Rentabilität, wenn man sich des Verfahrens nach der
Patentanmeldung M 25001 Ia/17 g bedient. Die Erfindung
stellt eine weitere zweckmäßige Verwendung jenes Verfahrens für eine erfindungsgemäße Beförderung
von Erdgas aus entlegenen Erdgasfeldern dar. Nach dem Verfahren gemäß Patentanmeldung
M 25001 Ia/17g wird der Kälteinhalt verflüssigten
Heiz- oder Erdgases bei seiner Wiederverdampfung auf Stickstoff als Hilfskälteträger übertragen, dieser
dabei verflüssigt und als Kälteträger gespeichert, um später zur Verflüssigung eines neuen Erdgasquantums
verwendet zu werden. Während jenes ältere Verfahren dazu diente, sommerliche ErdgasübeiSchüsse lokal zu
speichern und sodann im Winter durch Rückverdampfung den Verbrauchern zuzuführen, soll gemäß
der vorliegenden Zusatzerfindung der Vorteil jenes Verfahrens, nämlich die erheblich verbesserte
Kältebilanz, zur Rentabilisierung und damit zur Erschließung entlegener Erdgasvorkommen herangezogen
werden.

wie in der Hauptpatentanmeldung· beschrieben, eine Lufttrennanlage errichtet, und zwar am Ort des
industriellen Erdgasverbrauchers. In dieser wird auf bekannte Weise Luft in Stickstoff und Sauerstoff zerlegt.
Der Sauerstoff wird ausgeschieden und als wertvolles Industriegas verkauft. Der Stickstoff wird verflüssigt
und als Hilfskälteträger zum fernen Erdgasvorkommen in Tanks oder Flüssiggastankern befördert.
Dort wird der FlüS'Sigstickstoff im Gegenstrom mit
Sondengas wieder verdampft. Durch die dabei frei werdende Verdunstungskälte wird das gegenströmende
Erdgas verflüssigt. Nun wird in eben jene Flüssiggasbehälter, aus welchen der Flüssigstickstoff herausgepreßt
worden war, im Wechsel mit diesem, das bei der Wiederverdampfung des Flüssigstickstoffes verflüssigte
Erdgas hineingepumpt und dieses als Nutzfracht zum Erdgasverbraucher befördert. Dort wird
es im Gegenstrom mit vorher auf etwa 201 at verdichtetem,
der Lufttrennanlage entnommenem Stickstoff wiederverdampft. Dabei wird dieser verflüssigt, um
als rückverfrachteter Hilfskälteträger die wertvolle Kälteenergiei zum fernen Erdgasvorkommen zu
bringen.
Wie bei der Hauptpatentanmeldung fällt auch hier Sauerstoff als wertvolles Nebenprodukt mit an. Stellt
das Erdgas in den Sonden unter hohem Druck zur A^erfügung, so verringert sich die zu seiner Verflüssigung
erforderliche Arbeit unter den Wert, der beispielsweise in der volumsgleichen Menge Flüssigstickstoff
enthalten ist. Es entsteht dann eine Kältereserve im als Nutzlast beförderten Flüssigerdgas,
die beispielsweise, wie auch gemäß der Haupt-

Claims (1)
- Patentanmeldung dazu verwendet werden kann, um entweder Flüssigsauerstoff oder Trockeneis zu erzeugen.Wesentlich ist es, daß nach der Zusatzerfindung die Lufttrenn- und Stickstoffverflüssigungsanlage im industrialisierten. Erdgasverbraueherland zu installieren ist, während man bei dem entlegenen Erdgasvorkommen nur eine vergleichsweise erheblich vereinfachte Verflüssigungsapparatur aufzustellen hat und daher keine eigene Siedlung für ein großes Bedienungspersonal vorzusehen hätte, wie sie bei Anwendung des üblichen Verfahrens für Erdgasverflüssigung erforderlich wäre. Durch Anwendung des in der Hauptpatentanmeldung beschriebenen Verfahrens ist es möglich, einerseits den Energiebedarf auf etwa die Hälfte oder darunter zu verringern und andererseits für den Hintransport des Flüssigerdgases und den Rücktransport des Flüssigstickstoffes im Wechsel ein und denselben Tank bzw. Tanker zu verwenden. Erst diese Möglichkeit madht jenes Verfahren rentabel. Da ferner das Tankschiff sowohl auf der Hin- wie auf der Rückfahrt beladen ist, braucht kein Ballast aufgenommen zu werden, so daß weder Wärme verlorengeht noch größere Wasserballasttanks den Nutztransportraum verringern.Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist insbesondere zur Erschließung weit entlegener, in Wüsten, oder in tropischen Gegenden gelegener Erdgasvorkommen entwickelt worden. Da hierbei hohe spezifische Transportkosten anfallen, sind spezialisierte Transportmittel erforderlich. In erster Linie muß ein möglichst großer Tankraum angestrebt werden, da hier das Verhältnis zwischen Nutzvolumen und Verlust-Oberfläche immer günstiger wird. Daher kommen vor allem Großtanker als Transportmittel in Frage.Patent α ν s ρ ρ, υ c pi :Verfahren zur periodischen Entnahme und Speicherung von Tiefkälte für die Verflüssigung bzw. Wiederverdampfung von Gasen, insbesondere von Erdgas, unter Verwendung von. Flüssiggasbehältern und eines Hilfskälteträgers, wobei für die Speicherung des flüssigen Heiz- oder Erdgases bzw. des Hilfskälteträgers im Wechsel ein und derselbe Flüssiggasbehälter verwendet wird und Stickstoff als Hilfskälteträger dient, gemäß der Hauptpatentanmeldung M 25001 Ia/17g, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in ein und demselben Flüssiggasbehälter im Wechsel zwischen einem Erdgasverbraucher und einem entlegenen" Erdgasvorkommen Flüssigstickstoff hin- bzw.
