"CéLULA BACTERIANA, MéTODO PARA A PRODUçãO DE UM POLIPEPTìDEO HETERóLOGO, MéTODO PARA A PREVENçãO DE CLIVAGEM, MéTODOS PARA A CLIVAGEM E MéTODOS PARA A PRODUçãO DE UM POLIPEPTìDEO CLIVADO". é descrita uma célula bacteriana gram-negativa que é deficiente do um gene cromossómico presente em uma célula de tipo selvagem, em que o gene compartilha pelo menos 80% de identidade de seq³ência com a seq³ência nativa do gene yfck e codifica uma aminopeptidaso. Alternativamente, uma célula bacteriana gram-negativa é deficiente de um gene cromossómico presente nessa célula do tipo selvagem, em que o gene codifica uma aminopeptidase que compartilha pelo menos 80% de identidade de seq³ência com a seq³ência nativa da aminopeptidase b2324. Qualquer um destes tipos de células, quando compreender um ácido nucléico codificador de um polipeptídeo heterólogo, produz um polipeptídeo não destacado N-terminal quando é cultivado e o polipeptídeo é recuperado, com virtualmente nenhum polipeptídeo destacado N-terminal produzido como impureza.
