Abstract

Un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas por modulación de la expresión de un tipo particular del factor de transcripción NAC en plantas. El tipo particular del factor de transcripción NAC es uno que tiene una secuencia de aminoácidos, que cuando se usa en la construcción de un árbol filogenético de NAC, tiende a agruparse con el grupo de los NAC que comprende la secuencia de aminoácidos representada por la SEC ID NO: 2, SEC ID NO: 51, SEC ID NO: 53, SEC ID NO: 55, SEC ID NO: 57 o SEC ID NO: 59, más que con cualquier otro grupo NAC. También a plantas que tienen expresión modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica tal factor de transcripción NAC, plantas que presentan un rendimiento mejorado con respecto a plantas control. Además, trata de un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas por modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido AP2-2. Plantas que tienen la expresión modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido AP2-2, plantas que presentan un rendimiento mejorado con respecto a plantas control. Un método para mejorar rasgos relacionados con el rendimiento en plantas por modulación de la expresión en una planta de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido semejante a APETELA2-70 (semejante a AP2-70). Plantas que tienen la expresión modulada de un ácido nucleico que codifica un polipéptido semejante a AP2-70, plantas que presentan rasgos mejorados relacionados con el rendimiento con respecto a plantas control. También proporciona, ácido nucleicos desconocidos hasta el momento que codifican a NAC, AP2-2 y el polipéptido semejante a AP2-70 y construcciones que comprenden los mismos, útiles para llevar a cabo los métodos de la invenció. Además proporciona construcciones útiles para los métodos de la invención.
