Abstract
Una a-amilasa, un proceso para su preparación y el uso de la amilasa. Se relaciona con una secuencia de polinucleótidos de Alicyclobacillus pohliae recientemente identificada que comprende un gen que codifica la enzima a-amilasa. Se describe la secuencia codificante de longitud completa del gen, así como la secuencia de aminoácidos de la proteína de longitud completa funcional de dicho gen. También se relaciona con métodos para usar estas proteínas en procesos industriales, por ejemplo en la industria alimenticia, tal como la industria panadera. Incluye además células transformadas con un polinucleótido de acuerdo con la presente adecuado para producir estas proteínas y células.
