Abstract

La presente produce etanol en un reactor que contiene una composición catalítica y una corriente de alimentación que contiene ácido acético y una corriente líquida reciclada que contiene acetato de etilo. La composición catalítica contiene un primer catalizador que contiene platino, cobalto y/o estaño y un segundo catalizador que contiene cobre. El producto de etanol en bruto se puede separar y recuperar el etanol.
