Abstract
Se proveen técnicas para soportar el salto rápido de frecuencias con un piloto multiplejado por división de código (CDM, code división multiplexed) en un sistema de comunicaciones de múltiples portadores (por ejemplo, un sistema OFDMA). Cada uno de los transmisores (por ejemplo, cada uno de los terminales) en el sistema transmite un piloto de banda ancha en todas las sub-bandas de manera de permitir que un receptor (por ejemplo, una estación de base) estime la respuesta del canal entero simultáneamente. El piloto de banda ancha para cada transmisor puede ser generado mediante la utilización del procesamiento directo del espectro de distribución de las secuencias y en base a un código de números seudo-aleatorios (PN) asignado a dicho transmisor. Esto permite que el receptor identifique y recupere individualmente múltiples pilotos de banda ancha transmitidos simultáneamente mediante múltiples transmisores. Para un esquema de transmisión de pilotos multiplejados por división de tiempo (TDM)/CDM, cada uno de los transmisores transmite el piloto de banda ancha en forma de ráfagas. Para un esquema de transmisión CDM continua de pilotos, cada uno de los transmisores transmite de manera continua el piloto de banda ancha, si bien con un bajo nivel de potencia de transmisión. Puede ser soportado cualquier índice de saltos de frecuencia, sin que ello incida en el encabezamiento del piloto.
