Definitions
- the present invention relates to an optical communication device.
- Non-Patent Document 1 describes a coherent optical receiver used in a trunk line.
- the communication network is finely divided toward the end, the number of communication devices used at short distances is much larger than that of trunk line devices, and at the same time the size reduction and cost requirements for short-distance communication devices are for long-distance use. Compared to things, it will be much stricter.
- the signal transmission baud rate has been increased, and it is about to reach from 32 Gbaud to 64 Gbaud. As the frequency rate of transmission increases, the requirements for high-frequency characteristics for parts have become stricter.
- high-speed transmission / reception methods including coherent transmission methods require multi-channel transmission, and inter-channel interference is one factor of characteristic deterioration. This is because, generally, the higher the baud rate, the higher the interference between channels.
- a coherent signal such as the commonly used polarization multiplexing QPSK system
- the transceiver may be mounted on the same chip. In this case, it is necessary to sufficiently suppress signal interference between the transmitter and the receiver. Since the transmitter handles a large electric signal and the receiver handles a small electric signal after photoelectric conversion, mutual interference needs to be particularly suppressed.
- FIG. 1 and 2 are diagrams showing the configuration of a conventional coherent optical receiver (optical receiver), FIG. 1 is a circuit diagram, and FIG. 2 is a pattern diagram.
- the optical receiver includes an optical circuit (DPOH: dual polarization optical hybrid) 70 that couples local light and signal light at an appropriate phase, a subassembly having an optical semiconductor 50 and a TIA-IC 60. Yes.
