上方を向く起立部と、前方を向く前向部と、前記起立部と前向部とを連設する屈曲部とを有し、前記前向部の前部が前記支基に取付けられた側面視ほぼL字状をなす背凭れ支持杆と;
前記背凭れ支持杆の起立部をもって支持された背凭れと;
前記背凭れ支持杆における少なくとも屈曲部の後面から下面にかけての部分を、覆う保護カバーと;
を備えるものとする。
前記前向部が、前記屈曲部より二股状をなして前方に延出する左右1対の前向杆により構成され、
前記保護カバーが、屈曲覆い部と、起立覆い部と、前向覆い部とを備え、
前記屈曲覆い部は、前記屈曲部の後面を覆い、前記起立覆い部は、前記屈曲覆い部に連設されかつ前記起立杆のそれぞれの後面を覆い、前記前向覆い部は前記屈曲覆い部に連設されかつ前記各前向杆の下面を覆うようにする。
さらに、保護カバーに、屈曲覆い部の他に、各起立杆の後面を覆う1対の起立覆い部と、各前向杆の下面を覆う1対の前向覆い部とを設けてあるので、保護カバーの位置決めが容易になる。
前記X字状の中央の交差部を、前記屈曲覆い部が覆い、
前記屈曲覆い部は、横幅が前記起立杆および/または前記前向杆の横幅より大で、かつ後方に向かってほぼ球面状に膨出するようにする。
前記凹部に、保護カバーにおける各起立覆い部の上端部前面に設けた弾性突部が圧嵌されるようにする。
前記保護カバー内の少なくとも前記空隙部に対応する部分が、弾性材料により形成されるようにする。
前記背凭れフレームは、中央に配置された空間部と、前記空間部を閉塞する張材が張設された帯板状のフレーム部材とを備え、
前記椅子は更に、前記背凭れフレームの左右方向の内側縁における上下方向のほぼ中間位置に、互いに左右方向に対向しうるように内方に張り出した左右1対の張出部を備えるものとする。
また、リクライニング時に、背凭れフレームに加わる負荷が、背凭れの後傾に伴う背凭れフレームの曲がり方向に作用するため、張出部を形成することによって、背凭れフレーム自体の曲げ強度を向上させることができる。
さらに、張出部の形成によって、背凭れフレームと背凭れ支持杆との連結に必要な面積を、張出部の広い面積をもって充分に確保することができるため、背凭れフレームと背凭れ支持杆とを、互いに強固にかつ簡単な構造をもって連結することができる。
図1~図6は、本発明の第1の実施形態である椅子を示す。
支基5の両側壁より左右に突出する枢軸8の両端部には、背凭れ6を支持する背凭れ支持杆9における前端部が、枢軸8と一体となって回動するように固着されている。この枢軸8は、支基5内に設けた、例えばねじりコイルばね等よりなる付勢手段(図示略)により、背凭れ6および背凭れ支持杆9が起立する方向、すなわち図2における反時計回りに付勢されている。
保護カバー11の厚さは、凹部10の深さとほぼ等しくし、保護カバー11の表面と背凭れ支持杆9の表面とが整合し、段差が生じないようにするのが好ましい。
なお、凸軸13を背凭れ6の側部後面に、後方に向けて突設し、かつそれに対向する背凭れ支持杆9における各起立杆9dの上端部前面に、受孔14を形成してもよい。
この長孔31は、背凭れ支持杆9の各前向杆9eにおける六角孔9fより若干後方の部分に設けた上向き突片9gに設けられている。
この軸32は、支基5内に設けた付勢手段(図示略)により、常時前方に向かって付勢されている。
このときの連結杆21の後傾角速度は、背凭れ支持杆9の後傾角速度より大であり、しかも連結杆21の軸22は背凭れ支持杆9の枢軸8より後方に位置していることにより、背凭れ6の下端部は、連結杆21の後端部の軸24により後方に押動され、背凭れ6は、背凭れ支持杆9に対して、左右方向を向く軸線(抜け止めピン17)を中心として、背凭れ支持杆9の回動方向(後傾方向)と逆方向(起立方向)に回動させられる。
このときのリンク29の後傾角速度は、背凭れ支持杆9の後傾角速度より大であり、しかもリンク29の軸28は背凭れ支持杆9の枢軸8より後方に位置しているので、軸30の後方移動量が、背凭れ支持杆9における長孔31の後方移動量より大となり、軸30は、長孔31内を後方に向かって摺動させられ、またそのときの軸30の動きにより、座支持体25の後部は、後下方へ大きく移動させられる。
なお、第1の実施形態におけるのと同一または類似の部材には、同一の符号をもって図示するに止め、それらについての詳細な説明は省略する。
この枠体39は、周方向に連続する合成樹脂製の帯板状のフレーム部材からなるとともに、上部横フレーム部40A、所望の後傾状態を有する左右1対の側部縦フレーム部40B,40Bおよび下部横フレーム部40Cにより、周方向に連続する正面視ほぼ方形をなす主フレーム40を備える。
この連結フレーム45における左右方向の中央部には、前記基部43の切除部44に嵌合する嵌合部46が後方に向けて突設されており、この嵌合部46は、前記主フレーム40の初期状態における切除部44の対向端部44a,44aの対向面間の間隔寸法とほぼ同一の幅寸法を有している。
これにより、背凭れ36のリクライニング時に、取付金具23を介して基部43の後面中央に加わる連結杆21による負荷に対して、基部43が弾性変形可能になっている。
これら止着部47の後面は、前記切除部44の対向端部44a,44aの前面に当接されて、前記切除部44の対向端部44a,44a間を跨ぐように、基部43の前面にそれぞれ止着されるようになっている。
また、基部43の切除部44における対向端部44a,44aの対向面に臨むリブ48の端部は、基部43に連結フレーム45を組み付けた際に、嵌合部46の左右の端面が当接する当接部48aとなっている。
これら雌ねじ穴51には、図15に示すように、基部43の後方から、前記ボルト挿通孔50を通して挿通されるボルト52が螺合され、このボルト52によって、前記基部43に連結フレーム45における左右の止着部47が止着されるようになっている。
このように、連結フレーム45の止着47を分割することにより、前記した背凭れ36のリクライニング時に、基部43の後面中央に加わる負荷に対して、基部43の弾性変形を容易にし、応力集中の分散化を図ることができるようにするとともに、基部43に対する加工精度の許容範囲を拡大可能にしている。
これにより、張材37を、枠体39の前面全体に亘って緊張状態で張設することができるとともに、枠体39の前面全てが張材37で覆われるため、デザイン的にスマートな印象を与えることができる。
まず、主フレーム40から、連結フレーム45を、止着部47の分割部47Aを基部43に残して取り外した状態において、主フレーム40における左右の側部縦フレーム部40Bを、その弾性力に抗して、図11に想像線で示すように、基部43における切除部44の対向端部44a,44a同士が接近しうる縮小方向に弾性変形させる。
これにより、張材37を、複雑な加工を施すことなく作業効率良く張設できるとともに、張材37の張力を枠体39全体に亘って均一に保持することができる。
すなわち、図10に示すように、主フレーム40の左右両側部縦フレーム部40Bの左右方向の内側縁における上下方向のほぼ中間位置には、互いに左右方向に対向しうるように、前記空間部38に向けて内方に張出した左右1対の張出部59が、後方に向け膨出させて形成されている。
この張出部59の後端には、図8に示すように、背凭れ支持杆9における左右の起立杆9dの上端部が、背凭れ36のリクライニング動作に追従しうるように、ほぼ左右方向を向く軸線まわりに、かつ前記軸線から逸れる方向にも所要角度で、所望の限界範囲もって全方向に回動可能に連結されるようになっている。
この軸孔63内には、摺接面体62の中心部から左右両側方に、外側に向かって漸次拡径するテーパー孔部64,64が形成されている。
この受筒部材67の受穴66には、前記凸軸61の摺接面体62が後方から挿入されて摺接可能になっているとともに、前記軸孔63に、ほぼ左右方向を向く抜け止めピン68を遊嵌して、この抜け止めピン68の左右の両端部を、受筒部材67の左右に設けた係止孔69に挿入し係止させることにより、前記凸軸61と受筒部材67とが、互いに連結されるようになっている。
これにより、背凭れ支持杆9における左右の起立杆9dの上端部が、抜け止めピン68の軸線まわりに回動可能に、かつ前記軸線から逸れる方向にも所要角度回動可能にして、前記張出部59の後部に連結されるようになっている。
この緩衝部材73は、椅子の長期使用に伴って、枠体39と背凭れ支持杆9の上部との連結部位が磨耗したり、破損することを防止しうるようになっている。
このキャップ部材74は、その内部中心から後方に向けて突設した固定杆75を、ボルト軸70の前端に開口させた固定穴76に圧入することにより、張出部59の前面に取り付けられている。

- 椅子であって:
脚と;
脚によって支持された支基と;
支基によって支持された座と;
上方を向く起立部と、前方を向く前向部と、前記起立部と前向部とを連設する屈曲部とを有し、前記前向部の前部が前記支基に取付けられた側面視ほぼL字状をなす背凭れ支持杆と;
前記背凭れ支持杆の起立部をもって支持された背凭れと;
前記背凭れ支持杆における少なくとも屈曲部の後面から下面にかけての部分を、覆う保護カバーと;
を備えていることを特徴とする椅子。 - 前記保護カバーが、緩衝材よりなる請求項1記載の椅子。
- 前記保護カバーが、軟質合成樹脂材料またはゴムよりなる請求項1記載の椅子。
